See See has recovered nicely from the snakebite, and she is happy to play with her puppies again. The large male puppy with the Green Collar is still available! The puppies are now crate trained and well socialized. The male is laid back and very outgoing with people and likes playing with other dogs. He has been to stores and puppy classes, and he is leash trained. He will likely be a very large adult. See See got bit by a copperhead!

She will be ok. I took her to the emergency vet last night. Her blood work looks ok, so the venom hasn’t affected her systemically. The vet said the swelling and discoloration will get worse before it gets better. Last night: It looked really swollen. She could barely put weight on it, and it was very painful. Now: The hair is shaved off, and she is on pain meds and putting more weight on it. The vet thinks she will make a full recovery. Keep a close eye out for copperheads! They are out early this year due to heavy rains and heat! We didn’t find the one that bit See See ..read more

As you can see from the previous posts, I was worried about the ears on this litter. But I needn’t have worried! Daphne’s ears look great! They are the last to come up of the ones I have here. Martin’s are slowly coming up. And Frazier’s are up and down, with one up more than the other. Check out the pics! Niles and Daphne are still available to approved homes! Call/text Sarah Morgan at 304-610-7172 or email morganshep@aol.com These puppies have had great socialization. They’ve been to puppy handling classes at the Zoom Room https://zoomroom.com/location/richmond/ taught by The Virginia Kennel ..read more

German Shepherd puppy ears
Shepherd Sight Blog

If you’ve been following my blog, you’ll remember that the mother of my current litter had a problem with her ears. I had to tape them. I bred her to a sire with really good ears with the hopes that I will not have to tape any of these puppies’ ears. I still have three puppies here. I’m planning on keeping one female. So I still have one male and one female available. Unfortunately, two of the homes that I thought I had for sure fell through. Sometimes it turns out to just not be the right time for a puppy. Life happens. Feel free to call or text if you are interested. Sarah Morgan 304-610-717 ..read more

Duke (previously known as Martin) is settling into his new home

Duke’s new family has two other (neutered) mature dogs: a male black lab Magic, and a large female northern breed mix Macie. They are accepting him into the pack nicely. Luke, his sister, and parents got to watch the puppies grow up and helped socialize the whole litter, so they already love him dearly. Duke seems quite content, as you can see by these pics. Contact me if you are looking for a new addition to your family. I have two other male puppies available. Call or text 304-610-7172 or email morganshep@aol.com ..read more

Martin Crane goes home

The first of See See’s puppies has left the nest. (Two very nice males are still available.) Martin, red collar boy, has gone to his new home, which just happens to be two doors down from me! I am happy to have him close. Luke and his dad picked him up today after school. They had delayed picking him up so that it would be on a weekend, and when both mom and dad are working from home. I love it when people really plan for their new arrival. Martin (now “Duke”) in loving arms.Dad is putting on a brand new collarLuke will hold onto the red one as a keepsake.Ready to go home!
