Good Day Crafties! Let's talk about knitting notions! One day I'll go through all the things I like to keep in my notion bag but one item in particular, I think is underrated and could use the spotlight today. For knitters, few things are more frustrating than losing precious stitches when you set down your project. Enter the humble knitting needle point protector, a tiny tool with a big impact. These little lifesavers secure your stitches on the needles, preventing lots of tears and cuss words along the way. Why Use Knitting Needle Point Protectors? Happy Independence Day to all my American Crafties! I wanted to take the time out to write today and recognize many of the blessings I feel to have been born here. I usually try to lean into the more positive side of things when it comes to my outlook on life and though the past few years have been some of the darkest in my life, there are still many things that I am grateful to God for. I'll be showing off this month's Super Crafty project as well as a w.i.p I'd deluded myself into thinking I'd be done with by now so let's go! A many great blessings... Being online and in the city as I am ..read more

Good day Crafties! Today I wanted to broach a topic that has been heavy on my mind for quite some time. This topic has also gotten me quite a bit of criticism, believe it or not, and I can't fathom thinking any differently about it. That topic is, extensively teaching beginner level craft content. Sure, there are other more lucrative and fancy categories that I could have gone into that would probably better bolster my skillset but that's never truly been where my heart lies. I believe that I was given a helping heart and the gift of teaching by God and so generally, I do all that I can t ..read more

Good day Crafties! I know this isn't yarn related but, Imagine my surprise on a random Wednesday afternoon when I got randomly selected for a juried show from Call For Entry! For those who may be new, I am a traditionally trained artist and last year, as part of my senior capstones, I decided to enter some of my paintings into some contests. Naturally, I forgot about it. Getting into art shows is very, very competitive and even more so if they're juried. When I got home, I went in to review the congratulatory email to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Low and behold, I couldn't believe it. As o ..read more

Good day, Crafties! The winds of change are blowing swiftly here in the studio and so I figured it was high time to start on the next crochet or knitting course here at Infiniti Crafting Co! Exciting right? In late 2023, I built out a huge crochet course (which I still add to) and that was really fun. Since then, I've put out different polls on the Infiniti Crafting Co Facebook page on where to go next. Some of the community suggestions were: How to Read Crochet Patterns How to Design Cardigans Some of the things I've been mulling over that I think would be fun to teach: A ..read more

This long journey began in 2016 at St. Louis Community College, where I got my Associate's in Fine Arts - Art Education. It was not without a vast amount of faith and family support that this proud day has come to pass. I'm really excited to share this one with y'all! Every now and again you get find a little win with clays and as I continue to perfect my craft, I look for all the wins I can get! Back in March, Seattle Pottery Supply announced a new mid-fire clay on limited release. It has speckles!! Having made different clays in the past, I know that element shortages have been a real pain, which is why this batch was so small. Anyhoo, I say God was smiling on me at 5:30 that morning because I'd recently closed an order that let me grab a couple of bags! It is my hope to make truly special things with ..read more

Good day Crafties! Today I want to highlight a business I've enjoyed for around 4 years now by the name of Guchet. Primarily, I've been a fan of their bamboo cotton and their velvet nookie yarns which are super soft but have the added benefit of working in the Sentro Knitting Machine! A few months ago, I did a video with the latter yarn in the Sentro. Well, a few weeks ago I got a bit of happy mail from Melissa over at Guchet and this is what I got: A skein of their brand new yarn called "This Yarn Is It" which is a smooth and soft 100% premium acrylic. It's classified as a worsted 4 wei ..read more
