Time is flying with just over a week left before the official end of the Stampin’ Up! 2023/2024 Annual Catalogue. Lots of retiring products have already sold out, however the three I’ve used for today’s simple Sunday project are still available. There’s no stamping on this project as I wanted to focus on the Designer Series Paper (DSP). The cute reader sitting on a stack of books is from the retiring Just Kiddin’ DSP pack. I couldn’t resist using it as the focal point on this quick and easy bookmark. JUST FOLLOW THE LINES To start I cut a 2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Thick Basic White Card. Then from ..read more

Sadly I have no craft project for you today but I do have some very important information I wanted to share… When the Stampin’ Up!® 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue goes live on May 1st a number of products will increase in price. Some of the price rises are significant. So if you want to get ahead of these make sure to place your order by April 30th. But remember, other customers will be doing the same and there’s a possibility that some popular items could temporarily sell out. In that case you won’t be able to place your order until after new supplies have arrived at the warehouse, and if the res ..read more

Today sees the start of the Last Chance promotion with many retiring products on sale at up to 60% off. As all retiring products are only available while stock last it’s likely many will sell out very quickly. One bargain I don’t want you to overlook is the 2023 New Core Colors Stampin’ Write Marker set. These 11 colours aren’t retiring but this special bundle is, and it’s now 50% off! So to remind you of some of these colours I created this card featuring the In My Heart Stamp Set. SWEET SCENE I started my project with a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ piece of Basic White Cardstock. Then using Tuxedo Black ..read more

It’s the first Wednesday of the month and that means it’s time for another IDEAS blog hop. This month our theme is “Fun Folds”. Some fun or fancy folds can be quite complicated but there are easier designs for beginners to try and our April tutorial bundle includes some of these. However before I get to that, here’s a masculine gift tag created using a scrap of Tartan Foil Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). Not familiar with this paper? Perhaps that’s because it’s part of Stampin’ Up!’s Online Exclusives range. TARTAN LAYER I began my gift tag by choosing the #3 plain-topped die from the ..read more

Just a quick post to remind you that we’re coming to the end of the Stampin’ Up! catalogue year. This means that there’s a lot of products being retired and all of these are now only available while stocks last. The Last Chance promotion starts on Tuesday April 9th and that’s when some of these items will be discounted at up to 60% off. To make things easier to find I’ve removed some unnecessary columns from the lists, enlarged the text and sorted the products into alphabetical order. Please remember all prices on these lists are in Canadian dollars. TWO LISTS There are two lists for you. Fir ..read more

On Monday I got my first look at the Last Chance List. This is a list of products that are being retired by Stampin’ Up! and are now only available while stocks last. Some of these retiring items will be offered at a discount starting April 9th (but not all). Today’s project showcases a selection of these, starting with the Zany Zoo Stamp Set and coordinating dies, two of the 2022-2024 InColors® along with the Happy Labels Stamp Set. These combined to create this card featuring a cute cycling crocodile. OUTDOOR SCENE I began by cutting a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White Card and tearing some ..read more

Not The Cutest Cows

Sometimes I feel that I’m not a very imaginative crafter. By that I mean my creativity can be limited as my brain insists on keeping it real. So dogs are various shades of brown or black, leaves tend to be green (unless I’m using autumn colours) etc. So when I saw the sweet little rooster in the Cutest Cows Stamp Set I was determined to try something at least a bit different. The inspiration for my colour scheme came from the realisation that the 2022-2024 InColors® are retiring next month! CUTEST LITTLE ROOSTER This quick and easy card was really all about that rooster image so that’s where ..read more

IDEAS Blog Hop: Card & Paper Scraps

It’s the first Wednesday of the month and that means it’s time for another IDEAS blog hop. This month our theme is “Stunning Scraps” and the team has designed projects using scraps of all kinds. If you’ve followed me for a while you’ll know I keep even quite small scraps of card and paper. Since 2015 I’ve stored all my card scraps in a single 8-1/2” x 10” biscuit tin and the system still works. The secret is to always look through the scraps before reaching for a full sheet. My other secret is to notice when a particular colour of scrap card seems to be getting a little out of hand. That’s wh ..read more

The most popular Stampin’ Up! promotion of the year, Sale-A-Bration, ends tomorrow which means you don’t have long to get your hands on some free items simply by placing a qualifying order. Today’s gender-neutral birthday card features two Sale-A-Bration products; the Jungle Pals Stamp Set and the coordinating Jungle Pals Dies. Unlike previous promotions the stamp set and dies are not being offered as a bundle, instead you choose these two items separately. So if even you’re not a fan of the animals, the dies are definitely worth a second look. JUNGLE SCENE I began my project with the tiger i ..read more

Timeless In Many Ways

It’s been a while since I’ve posted any new content, but I’m still struggling to get back into the swing of things since my surgery last December. With that behind me, I’m now looking forward to double cataract surgery next month. I have to say I can’t wait to see more clearly again. It will definitely make crafting a more pleasurable experience and less of a chore. So until then I’ll just keep plodding along designing little projects like this alternative tag created using parts from the Timeless Greetings kit. TIMELESS KIT PIECES I began by making the tag base using one of the metal plate p ..read more
