Beechwood is a fully developed Waterloo neighborhood bordered by Fischer Hallman, Erb, and Columbia to the west of the University of Waterloo. There is good public transportation, including two LRT stops within walking distance. The best ways to get to the expressway are via King or University. Beechwood housing stock comes in a variety of ages. Although there are homes from the postwar era, development did not start in earnest in the area until the 1960s.
