Grace is a gift. Understanding the depths of God's grace might take a lifetime of prayer, study, fasting and communion with him. What we can say is that his grace has been given. Conviction comes by way of the Holy Spirit. At least, this is how it should be. We often view conviction as something that happens when we do wrong while neglecting its outcome. The outcome should be a desire for right(eous) action. Actions that actually benefit our lives.
