Hollywoodbets Dolphins secured another CSA T20 Challenge final spot with a five-wicket victory over Dafabet Warriors at the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead on Thursday. Dolphins opted for the ball first, when Andile Mogakane (77) powered the Warriors to respectable innings score of 161/4. Warriors got off to a slow start when Jiveshan Pillay fell early to bring Mogakane to the crease. He put up a 78-run partnership with his skipper, Matthew Breetzke (38) and 53 runs with Jordan Hermann (20*) to propel the visitors to a competitive score. The Lions will have the chance to win a second trophy this season after beating the Titans to make the CSA T20 Challenge final. In the first semi-final between the Lions and the Titans at the Wanderers, the hosts were dominant with the ball.  Promising leg-spinner Nqaba Peter was the star with the ball, taking 4-18 to rip out the Titans’ middle order.  Jack Lees’ effort kept the innings to give the Titans a total to defend, his 64 off 43 balls took the visitors to 131-9 in a revised 18 overs. Heinrich Klaasen scored his 3rd half-century in the IPl 2024, his efforts helping Sunrisers Hyderabad set the highest IPL score of 287-3. SRH broke their own record set earlier in the tournament when they scored 277/3 against Mumbai.  Travis Head led the charge for SRH with a breathtaking 102 off 41 balls.
