Hi, I'm Delaney and I really like to bake, so much so that I spend almost everyday baking for neighbors and friends and hear the same thing over and over again, you need to start writing these down. So welcome to my little corner of the internet where you'll find everything from gluten-free bundt cakes to sourdough guides. I like keeping things short and sweet so don't expect any..

“you don’t hate the summer, you’re just afraid of the space”
Once again, I am sitting here writing about Noah Kahan. I promise this is not a Noah Kahan blog. Words are just really important to me, and where I hear the most repetition of prose is in music – and currently its in Noah Kahan’s Cape Elizabeth.
Maine by Noah Kahan is an underrated gem. Siloed away from the glory of Stick Season, no one really knows it, but its my gut punch cry, laugh, scream, walk, drive, literally any hour of the day song. It exists for the girlies who can’t sit still, who grimace at being told to relax, who are a ..read more

as i stay up in my Pittsburgh dorm room waiting for Noah Kahan to drop Northern Attitude featuring Hozier, i thought it was finally time to update the masses on where I’ve been and where I’m going.
hi there! I’m delaney
A post with my actual voice behind it may seem foreign. From the day I formed this blog, I wrote as a mimic, mimicking the SEO life coach food bloggers that I saw as successful on pinterest, so yes, you probably have no idea what I really sound like. In the past, my personality has never been a focal point of this site; I explicitly stated I wouldn’t share the story of my life ..read more

Light and fluffy sour cream blood orange old fashioned doughnuts made with a poppyseed filled dough and a tangy and bright blood orange glaze.
My two loves of baking and reality television are finally coming together with this recipe. All of my fellow wannabe fashion designers of the 2010s will know the iconic Christopher Palu Project Runway quote, “blood orange… she’s so pretentious, shut up it’s f**kin red”. When I cook with blood orange, my mind immediately reverts back to the quote. Needless to say it was in the back of my head the whole time making this recipe.

This strawberry pomegranate eton mess is a simple dessert with layers of meringue, whipped cream, pom syrup, and berries; It is the perfect individual party dessert!
Happy New Year everyone! I’ve had a very busy December between working, traveling, schooling, and more. It was so great to get to go back and see all my family in Central Texas, although I was kicked out of the kitchen multiple times for my experimenting. The weeks after the holidays, I personally don’t want to whip up any heavy and ooey gooey desserts, but would rather have a light and refreshing one- that’s why I created these p ..read more

Small batch cranberry orange biscotti full of flavor, soaked in orange juice and drizzled with a white chocolate coating.
Don’t get me wrong as much as I love baking a giant batch of cookies on a rainy day, we all know the feeling in mid December of being flooded with tupperwares on tupperwares of Christmas cookies. Thats why I challenged myself to develop a series of small batch cookies this year, they make just about 9 or 10 and can be gone before the next tupperwares of cookies get dropped off on your doorstep. No one has any big holiday parties to go to, so theres just enough for you and y ..read more

Peanut Butter snickerdoodles rolled in a cinnamon sugar toppings. These small batch peanut butter cookies the perfect holiday baking recipe!
These peanut butter snickerdoodles were my first ever blog post! Its now one year later and I am updating the blog post and photos just in time for Christmas. These small batch peanut butter cookies are moist, super chewy, and full of peanut flavor. Plus, they make a fairly small batch (perfec ..read more

Crisp and flakey apple puff pastry tartlets loaded with caramel and a whole apple center. These mini tarte tatin are perfect Thanksgiving dessert for two!
What is Tarte Tatin
Tarte Tatin is what I like to refer to as a “pie adjacent dessert”. It is composed of a stone fruit (like apples), a layer of caramel, and a flaky pastry dough. The fruit is cooked in a pan with the the caramel and pastry is then laid on top of the pan, it is baked with the pastry on top before being flipped upside down to reveal the fruit after cooking.
This individual tarte tatin is a little different than traditiona ..read more

Crispy and sweet cinnamon maple crullers made with a cinnamon pate a choux dough and topped with an easy maple glaze. These crullers are the perfect fall breakfast treat.
Maple is one of my favorite flavors, I’m told that I get it from my grandfather (who also loved maple), but I also think it’s also just due to its pure deliciousness. These crullers are no exception. They are perfectly crisp, buttery, and full of the maple fall flavor. While I recommend making them during fall, this is a base recipe that could be made with any glaze to match the flavors of the season.

Salty sweet tahini blondies with crumbled halva and chocolate chunks. These blondies are super chewy and the perfect weekend bake.
The creation of this recipe stemmed from a mistake. I was originally going to make maple crullers (coming soon), but as I was getting ready to start my star piping tip fell down the disposal and was very deformed. I didn’t want to leave y’all with a missing recipe so I improvised with these blondies instead. The results were phenomenal! These tahini halva blondies are so delicious, filled with crumbled marble halva and ooey melted chocolate chips.
