We, the undersigned, call for the immediate release of Palestinian artist and musician Sama Abdulhadi, who was illegally detained by the Palestinian Authority on the 27th of December 2020. On Tuesday 29 December a judge decided to extend her detention for 15 additional days because “techno music is not part of Palestinian heritage!” The arrest of Sama occurred after the attack on a private recording for a streamed performance the Nabi Mousa in Jericho by a group of young people, who stopped the event and threatened the attendees.
