Seattle, WA – A scoreless draw in Frisco, Texas last week against an FC Dallas team that pushed the Rave Green to a winner-take-all match in their three-game playoff series last MLS Audi Cup Playoffs isn’t necessarily the most concerning thing in the world, but considering the poor start that the Seattle Sounders FC have had for the 2024 campaign, the frustration is amplified. That frustration bubbled over into anger with tonight’s shutout loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the first Cascadia Clash that the Sounders have played so far this season. Vancouver Whitecaps 4-0 Toronto FC
VANCOUVER, BC–Last year around this time at BC Place, Vancouver Whitecaps thrashed CF Montreal, 5-0. This year, they did something similar to Toronto FC beating them 4-0 and went to the top of the Western Conference after a loss by LA Galaxy and Minnesota United and Real Salt Lake drawing.
The Whitecaps needed just six minutes to take the lead. Brian White stripped Deybi Flores of the ball just outside the penalty area and left Sean Johnson with no chance to stop his shot. Deandre Kerr nearly pulled TFC level in the 18th minute, but ..read more

After allowing the Vancouver Whitecaps an early lead in the first half, the Portland Timbers came back with a lot of fight in the second half and tied the game. However in the end, the Timbers fell short when Ryan Raposo scored his second goal of the season in the 87th minute.
Despite the efforts of Timbers keeper Maxime Crepeau, in the end the Vancouver Whitecaps came up with a big win in the always celebrated Cascadia Cup with round one in their favor.
The moves made by Caps manager Vanni Sartini, who was in his first match back from suspension, paid off in t ..read more

BC Place, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Portland Timbers Briefly
Disappointing is the ideal word chosen by manager Phil Neville after his team displayed a great match and delivering a number of opportunities at goal, but still the team came short of his objective to come with huge win against the Union.
The Timbers didn’t play a pristine defensive game and not being able to stand their ground, in the end it was seen a setback in the end and with ..read more

Vancouver Whitecaps 1-2 Real Salt Lake
VANCOUVER, BC–Two goals in a span of six minutes led Real Salt Lake to come from behind to defeat Vancouver Whitecaps, 2-1, at BC Place. Vancouver took the lead in the 33rd minute on a beautifully-worked team goal finished off by Damir Kreilach. If the first half saw Vancouver getting most of the scoring chances, the second half was the opposite.
Yohei Takaoka was forced into a couple saves within the first ten minutes of the half and Fidel Barajas would strike one off the crossbar in the 56th minute. RSL would hit pay dirt in the 70th minute as Barajas f ..read more

After a hard-fought match from both sides, Charlotte FC and the Vancouver Whitecaps drew 1-1.
Charlotte had a handful of opportunities to score early on with Jere Uronen not getting enough power on a shot that was saved, Iuri Tavares heading the ball following a corner that was saved and Enzo Copetti being awarded a penalty that was overturned following a VAR review.
Charlotte got on the board first with Tavares scoring his first MLS goal. A great team effort pressing Vancouver led to the goal, with Ashley Westwood winning the ball and passing to Brecht Dejaegere, who passed the ball into the ..read more
