The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has advised its members to start looking for other means of survival.
The union also said that the lecturers are all out to press on until all its agreement with the Federal Government is fully met.
This was made known by Abuja's zonal Coordinator of ASUU Prof. Theophilus Lagi, in a press conference at the University of Abuja campus.
In his words, “Our members have been advised to seek other legitimate means of survival as the Government has not released salaries withheld since February 2020,” he said.

The Association of Nigeria Universities Alumni (ANUA), has pleaded with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) to suspend its propose nationwide protest, promising a positively contribute to the resolution of outstanding issues by bringing the knowledge and experience of its members to bear.
ANUA also said that there is no need for the protest because it was confident that the crisis would soon be resolved.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the ANUA's chairman, Dr. Stephen Olawale Fasakin and the General Secretary, Alhaji Mohammed Sani Wada.
