I love seeing the water flowing down the ditch. Into the siphon tubes. Then onto the roots of the growing plants.
The sound of the water…moving, moving feeds my soul.

Filling the air with lovely (but very cold) drops of rain, and huge wind; gifting all things.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
(and no, the changing of irrigation doesn’t stop because it rained. The rain only made the first 1/8″ of the soil wet. BUT it did wash off all the plants and trees! )

The bees swarmed. Leaving behind those old friends, [who wished to stay]: taking the most loved Queen.
It was time.
“Never leave a friend behind. Friends are all we have to get us through this life—and they are the only things from this world that we could hope to see in the next.”–Dean Koontz, Bestselling author

Quietly stop wherever you are and listen
To the sounds of the earth
Falling sleep.
Gradually, gradually the birds, the animals, the insects, the plants, and even the sky
Say Good Night!—as they drift off into the land of dreams.

MOM! It’s cold outside. I don’t care that it’s green and warm looking it is still cold!
Well, let’s go in then and get you warm.
(We’ve been having a cold, cold front move through. It is very cold. I’m ready for it to warm back up — so is Boo Berry)
TLC loves it colder!

“You must never judge who God forgives and who he does not”.: Bless Me, Ultima, by Rudolfo Anaya
Hide little birds (by the barrels) there is a hawk in the air!
Ah, Red-Tailed Hawk you are stunningly beautiful
It’s so hard to see you kill—but you also, must eat.
Who am I to judge, who am I?
From my world to your heart,

I must admit
There are times when my thoughts
Are not as perky as they should be.
When a weight seems to weigh heavy
A nose-dive, to be sure.
But it never, ever fails…that when I’m in a funk…the earth gives to me a heart.
How can I stay in a dark place
When there are amazing gifts everywhere?
I am truly blessed! As you are too, all we have to do is look.
From my heart to your world,
Linda

Terry has the corn planted. He took two hayfields out of production — they have grown old.
And planted corn!
Now, the only thing left to plant is our new alfalfa field. Soon! Real soon, but not just yet.
