Did you know there is a National Terrier Day every year on March 27th? As you can imagine I’m a teeny bit excited as the mum of an adorable terrier and I can’t wait to celebrate with Patch. What makes it even more pawsome is that it was created by my friend and fellow pet blogger Michelle Burgess. Michelle runs Scruffy Little Terrier and we met six years ago when I first started this blog. We bonded over our love of terriers – I had Daisy back then and she looked so like Michelle’s terrier Sandy. And we have been crazy terrier lady friends ever since. So for #NationalTerrierDay I spoke to Mic ..read more

Dog trainer Jo Sellers, who runs Pippin Pets, is on a mission to change this and Dog Separation Anxiety Awareness Day is taking place on September 30th. Her mission is to educate pet parents so they can see the signs their dog might be struggling so they can get help, meaning life is less stressful for them and their owners. This week I was asked to stick up for the pets for an interview on the Spectator podcast. Their travel writer, Sean Thomas, said: “If you own a cat or dog while still whining about ‘the environment,’ you are that unpleasant thing: a hypocrite.” He highlighted how Patrick Hansen, the boss of Luxaviation, a private jet firm, had claimed the average private jet customer is responsible for about the same emissions of carbon dioxide as someone who owns three medium-sized dogs. Digging into the data, I found the average dog creates 770kg of CO2 per year and the average cat 310kg, according to Mike B ..read more
