Well this one ought to be fun. After firing head coach Alan Koch, FC Cincinnati is looking for a new identity under interim manager Yoann Damet. Montreal will be looking to keep the good times rolling, as they're currently in 3rd place in the Eastern Conference.

Montreal has won three of their last five games, having lost the other two. FC Cincinnati's form is... uh... Yeah they fired their head coach and the team hasn't score a goal in a long long while.

Root and Cheer for the Hero Bill Wolf
Have you ever been to the movies and there is that annoying person cheering for the villain to win? I mean, sure, we all like a good villain. They are usually more complex and interesting characters than the hero. At the end of the day, though, most of us still want a happy ending. We don’t want world domination or destruction.
This is how I feel quite often when I’m reading though social media. Covid-19 is obviously the villain of this story. A villain of Thanos proportions. When Covid is winning the battle, the casualty reports start to appear, and to m ..read more

They’ll Be An Embarrassment
by Jonah Colina(the entirely correct views expressed here represent that of the author)
Nashville’s famous Beale Street
Friend and noted soccer expert, Kevin Wallace, recently wrote a scathing blog post about Nashville SC’s upcoming expansion season. While it made a compelling case for a familiar and fun first year flame out, many readers (especially from Nashville) took issue with his claims. While I hate to come out against a fellow Pride member and frequent podcast contributor, I’m afraid I need to push back on what he wrote. Nashville will not be a ..read more

Nashville is Going to be a Disaster Kevin Wallace
Are we allowed to talk about how terrible Nashville's MLS team is setting up to be? Top to bottom, this entire organization is well on track to being a huge failure. I'm a Cincinnati soccer fan, trust me on this one.
Here’s a link to the tweet because this platform won’t let me embed
From their front office, to fans in the stands, to the stadium, to the team they're putting together, I'm just not seeing where a success is going to come from. And you know what, if I'm wrong, great. At worst we get a well run successful MLS franchise near Cinci ..read more

WHAT THE HELL IS REAL, REALLY?By Steve Haldeman
HELL, OH — August 2019 — Webster's defines a rivalry as "don't ever start a piece of writing with a dictionary definition; it's lazy, contrived, and will get you docked a solid 10 points in any decent freshman comp class." That said, rivalries themselves are usually contrived. So, not to put too fine a point on it, but a rivalry is when our give a $#!t is in direct opposition to their give a $#!t, when our animosity is a nagging wound that only victory can salve, when our adversary is the reviled sibling always encroaching on our half of the bac ..read more

Welcome to Cincinnati Ron Jans, we're very excited to have you here. In our soccer team's four-ish year history, you're the first qualified coach we've had. I know I am really excited about that. This city hasn't seen a cohesive plan coming from the dugout... ever really.
So you come to our city with both playing and coaching experience, that's great. Then surely you know how important this match is on Saturday.
Our season so far has been a train wreck. I've argued, perhaps incorrectly, that our team is an average MLS team but has had really poor leadership thus far. Our new GM and your budd ..read more

Good Fan / Bad Fan
FOLKS! FC Cincinnati isn’t having the best go of it on the field lately. Let’s be honest, it’s much easier to be a fan when the goings are good, and I’ve noticed some people struggling with how to lawfully and coherently respond to our current situation. Well dry your eyes, because I’m turning seven of the most common Bad Fan ideas into Good Fan ideas.
1. A Dozen Rotten Thoughts
BAD FAN
You’re raging at home after another tough FCC loss. Naturally, you text that one friend who is way too familiar with the inner workings of 4chan and the dark side o ..read more

Hello all! It's June and you all know what that means: Abbey gets to be gay as heck again. Last year I took a more reflective tone and don't you worry, that'll make an appearance at some point because, lesbihonest, it's me, but this year I wanna take a few minutes to learn you all about Stonewall and the first Pride. Because Pride isn't just a fun rainbow party with inappropriately shaped lollipops, questionable amounts of clothing, and even more questionable amounts of glitter. It's a time to remember. A time to think about how far we've come. The first Pride wasn't a party or parade. The fir ..read more
