The season is long and the engine has to turn off at some point. As much as FC Cincinnati’s dream season flourished and energized the season, it had to end in either glory or sadness. In this case, it ended in heartbreak that may take some time to heal. FC Cincinnati leaped out to an early 2-0 lead by halftime, only for Columbus Crew SC to flip “the most dangerous lead in football” on its head. A Christian Ramirez goal took down the Supporters’ Shield holders in extra time and the 3-2 victory will send Columbus to the MLS Cup finals. The Orange & Blue came into the match after a hard-earne ..read more

One reaction to the announcement, understandably, is that FCC will be too shorthanded to overcome their high-powered visitors from Columbus in Saturday’s Eastern Conference Final (or any prospective opponent from the Western Conference should they reac ..read more

The Orange and Blue booked a spot in their first-ever Eastern Conference Final with a 1-0 win over the Philadelphia Union on Saturday. In a match where they were missing three nailed-on defensive starters, FCC still managed to earn a clean sheet while capitalizing on a controversial opportunity in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage-time to win the match. Despite having fewer shots and a lower xG than the Philadelphia Union on Saturday, Yerson Mosquera’s late strike was enough to leave the home crowd happy. Let’s look at where your favorite FCC players ranked for this match. Check out Ci ..read more

After what seemed to be an eternity since FC Cincinnati advanced past the first round of the MLS Playoffs, the Orange and Blue faced the Philadelphia Union Saturday night. The Eastern Conference Semifinal match appeared to be a carbon copy of the same match a year ago. But FCC was able to tweak the ending and craft a thrilling 1-0 victory. Coming into the match, much was made of the pieces that would be missing. For the Union, wingback Kai Wagner was serving a suspension by the MLS and centerback Jakob Glesnes underwent surgery that ended his 2023 campaign. However, the latter was on the bench ..read more
