My heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. — Psalm 84:2 Loneliness is one of the greatest problems people face today. It is a leading cause of suicide-that is now the third greatest killer of students in the United States. People feel various kinds of loneliness. One of the most common is the loneliness of solitude. Or there is the loneliness of suffering. Many people experience loneliness in society, or there is the loneliness of sorrow, guilt, and judgment. All of us feel at times a loneliness for God. Someone has called it cosmic loneliness. We don’t know what it is. It ..read more

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. – Hebrews 10:35-36 Most of us have a distorted idea about patience. We think of it as something designed to help us suffer failure gracefully, but according to these scriptures, it will actually put us on the path to success! Patience (or being consistently constant) is the power twin of faith. They work together to see to it that the promises of God are fulfilled in your life. Say, for example, you need ..read more

Luke 22:32 ‘But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.’ The concept of ‘conversion’ is mentioned in the Holy Scriptures at least 14 times. The basic meaning of the term is a turning or returning to God. This implies a turning away from sin and a turning to God. Repentance and putting faith in God are corresponding synonyms to conversion. The theological basis for conversion lies in the truth of the ‘atonement.’ Although man lapses into sin, the truth of the atonement remains. When men turn to God in repentance and f ..read more

Topic: Know Who You Are And Live Accordingly That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27). As Christians, we’re different from those in the Old Testament. In the Old Testament, they were called to obey the Word; but in the New Testament, we’re Word practitioners; we’re the expression of the Word; it’s called the mirror principle. God’s idea is that if He shows you who you are, you’d live accordingly. Therefore, when you come across a verse such as Ephesians 4:25 ..read more

Prayer
Emmy John

First of all I will start with what’s prayer. Prayer: Can be seen as the act of Communication between God and Man. And we saw how Jesus thought his disciples how to pray in Luke 11:1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 11:3 Give us day by day our daily bread. 11:4 And forgive ..read more
