A Cargojet Airways Boeing 767-300 freighter suffered a tailstrike during take-off from Tokyo Narita's runway 16R on 29th August. The aircraft, with registration C-GUAJ, was operating flight W8-1328 from Tokyo Narita to Vancouver with two crew members on board when it suffered the tailstrike during rotation for takeoff.  However, despite the strike, the crew continued its journey, assuming that there was nothing wrong with the aircraft. Photo: MPR News A 9-year-old boy was found unharmed after making his way into the conveyer-belt baggage handling system at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport on Saturday. The incident took place when a group of around 20 travellers were checking in their bags at Terminal 1 at MSP for a trip together. Two passenger planes, a UTair ATR 72 and a SKOL Yak-40, crashed in the Russian city of Surgut after the ATR 72 started moving while undergoing maintenance.  The ATR-72 (VQ-BLJ)  was undergoing maintenance with its engine on at Surgut Airport when it rolled forward and collided with a stored Yak-40 (RA-87340) on April 1. On 9 January, a Sriwijaya Air Boeing 737-500 crashed five minutes after departure from Jakarta Airport, Indonesia. The Boeing 737, with registration PK-CLC, was operating domestic flight SJ182 from Jakarta to Pontianak, Indonesia with 62 people on board.  On Flightradar24-data, the aircraft was climbing out of Jakarta when radar and radio contact was lost.
