Hello everyone. Sean Almeida here. I haven’t made an update in a while, so it’s good to be back. It’s been a while since winter, and things have changed a bit since then. The Russians have slowed down their attacks on infrastructure, and maybe they’ll stop altogether because their plan failed. During winter, we had some issues with electricity and heating, but thankfully we could rely on resilient systems. Now that the heating season is over, it’s warmer and rainier, which matches my mood. I’ll tell you why in a second, but first, let me give you an update on life in Kyiv. Life in Kyiv Durin ..read more

Hi, Sean is here! Recently I came back to Ukraine, and here is my Kyiv Market update; as I walked through the streets, I couldn’t help but notice the unusual warmth in the air. It’s January, yet I’m dressed pretty lightly – I even gave my jacket to the dry cleaners for a week because I didn’t need it. This kind of weather is very unseasonably warm for Ukraine, but it’s a welcome change. The heating is on for the most part too, which is a relief, as it doesn’t put less pressure on the system. Greetings, everyone! Today is October 31st, and I hope you’re all doing well. Happy Halloween to those who celebrate it! Here is another Kyiv market update from Vestor.Estate. While it was a bit inconvenient, I think the situation will be resolved soon enough. However, I don’t expect these attacks to dramatically affect the morale of the Ukrainian people or their willingness to keep fighting. In other news, I ..read more

Hello everyone. This is Sean, CEO of Vestor.Estate. I’m excited to share my second Kyiv real estate update since returning to Ukraine for my second trip since the war started. Observations on the Situation It’s a beautiful day in mid-August, about 80 degrees or high 20s Celsius. Upon returning, my first impression is that it’s much more lively than it was just a few weeks ago. There’s traffic again, which is a good sign of things returning to normal. The Golden Gate area feels like a totally normal day. I can sense that the locals are starting to resume their daily lives, and business is pic ..read more

A place where we can break away from reality for a while and become part of a great and eternal, trembling and incredible theater. Something alive and vi ..read more

Unlocking the Value Trapped in Kyiv’s Historical Buildings

by Anna Shaidiuk

There’s a common maxim in real estate investing that says “you make money when you buy.” This is usually understood to mean that a buyer should hunt for good deals and buy a property that is lower than the “market price.” In addition to being easier said than done, this interpretation is usually a big hindrance for buyers because they fail to understand how to properly identify where the value is trapped and what it takes to unlock it.   They are trying to compare one property’s price to other sale prices on the same street or in the same neighborhood, but most fail to realize that Kyiv ..read more
