**This post is sponsored by TRISCUIT Crackers, all opinions are my own After I’ve finished a long day with the kids and Talon comes home from work, we like to unwind and hang out on our back porch while dinner is cooking. The weather is warming up, so it has been really nice out lately. Having that quality time together is so important! We talk about our day and I usually set out some snacks to munch on. I made a delicious Summer-Inspired charcuterie board the other day and I wanted to share what I used to put it together! You can purchase TRICUIT Crackers & Sabra hummus flavors at Target ..read more

Back Patio Reveal: Featuring Ace Hardware & Weber Grills

* This post is sponsored in partnership with Ace Hardware and is my honest review.  After 6 weeks of our backyard being a construction zone…. I am happy to say that it is FINALLY complete! We got a stamped patio with stairs descending to our lawn, along with a fortress safety railing. We used Elevation Concrete again to pour our patio because they do excellent work and we loved how they did the one at our old house! This patio at our new house is fairly steep (due to how it is graded) so a railing was pretty necessary for safety! Didn’t want the kids or dog falling off the side! Before P ..read more

I wanted a refreshing holiday drink to serve at Thanksgiving that was both kid-friendly and adult-friendly. I was at the grocery store and spotted “Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry”. Apparently it is just a seasonal flavor of theirs but I have never seen it before. It sounded delicious, so I bought one and that’s where this drink recipe came in! Ingredients: -5 cups of Simply Orange Juice -5 cups of Simply Cranberry Juice Cocktail -1 liter Sprite (Winter Spiced Cranberry flavor) -2 8 oz bags of Ocean Spray Fresh Cranberries Garnish: Cinnamon Sticks, Rosemary Springs, and cranberries **Optional ..read more

We got snow this past week so we’ve been running our fireplace and sitting on the couch watching lots of holiday movies! I know we are only in November but our family is ready for some happiness and Christmas cheer. It’s been a crazy year! This cold weather put Payton and I in the mood for some yummy hot chocolate. The boys were in school so P got to be my little helper. Let me tell you…instant hot chocolate you buy from the store just doesn’t compare to homemade hot chocolate! This recipe has 3 different types of chocolate and is so creamy and delicious! All you need is a crockpot and a shor ..read more

* This post is sponsored in partnership with Ace Hardware and is my honest review.  It has been a busy last few weeks for us! We are so excited to finally be in our new house that we have been building since January. I plan to share more pictures of our home once we are a little more settled! It is much bigger than our old house and there are SO many projects I have planned. However, one of the first things I wanted to do was paint the study. The study is a large room down the hall from our kitchen on the main floor. The room has a good-sized window, letting in lots of light and 2 large F ..read more

First and foremost, I hope everyone is healthy, happy and safe! We have had some tough days but overall, the kids are taking it all pretty well. The pandemic has got me doing lots of baking to pass the time. I am trying out recipes that have been saved on my phone forever …this being one of them! The kids love peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and I knew pb & jelly bars would be a hit. It’s a nice little twist on a classic meal! I LOVE Ina Garten. Everything she makes is delicious, so when I saw her post about these…I knew I had to make them for my family:) Below is her recipe. I decide ..read more

It’s been 5 years since we moved to Colorado and we are still slowly crossing off places on our list to explore in this beautiful state! Glenwood Springs is family-friendly and is known for their relaxing hot springs, charming downtown and close proximity to the mountains! Hotel Colorado is located right in downtown, Glenwood Springs and is within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the Glenwood Hot Springs. We had the pleasure of staying in their “Premier Family Room”, which was perfect for ..read more

I wanted to do something unique and fun for Caden’s 8th birthday this year. He has always been super interested in all things STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math). When we discovered Mad Science, I knew this would be a hit! Mad Science offers science-themed birthday parties for kids ages 3 years to 12 years old. Kids get to watch fun demonstrations and also have hands-on interaction, while learning! I loved the idea that this party would not only be entertaining but also educational for Caden and his friends. When booking a Mad Science party package, you can select from differ ..read more
