One hundred lucky Color Of Change members won free tickets in early February to see the new film “ORIGIN,” written and directed by Academy Award nominee Ava DuVernay.
Separately, another eight COC squad members in Los Angeles had the opportunity to hear actress Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, who played the film’s title character, discuss the film’s major themes during a special panel discussion with producers and justice advocates in Beverly Hills.

More than 200 people are expected to gather in Charlotte, North Carolina, next month for the #DefendBlackHistory Summit hosted by Color Of Change in conjunction with the National Education Association.
The free, half-day summit will offer enhanced tools to local leaders, parents, students, educators and advocates from the region to build collective power to fight against the erasure of Black history and efforts to ban books in schools and libraries.

Color Of Change is taking its Black History Month campaign to the streets.
Throughout the month of February, millions of motorists, commuters and pedestrians in eight cities across the nation will see COC’s digital billboards featuring more than a dozen historical heroes and movement makers of today.
