Curling Alberta is seeking a Male Athlete Representative to help empower athletes, tackle key issues, and shape the future of competitions and competitive curling in Alberta. This is a volunteer position that will participate as a voting member on Curling Alberta’s Competitions Working Group. This will be a two-season term, with potential for a second, two-year term. Curling Alberta has opened an Expression of Interest for the Curling Alberta U20 Provincial Championship at the Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre in Cochrane on February 23-27, 2022. This Expression of Interest is for teams that are not currently registered for the Provincial Championship. 2023 Canada Winter Games – Aboriginal Apprentice Coach Program

As part of the upcoming 2023 Canada Winter Games, Team Alberta has 2 opportunities for coaches under the Aboriginal Apprentice Coach Program. The Apprentice Coach will be a member of the sport’s Canada Games coaching staff and will be provided with a walk-out uniform. The process to name Team Alberta at the 2023 Canada Winter Games (CWG) has been finalized. Curling Alberta will send one U18 Boy’s team, one U18 Girl’s team, and one U20 Mixed Doubles team to represent Alberta at the Canada Winter Games in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on February 18-March 5, 2023. Registration for the U23 Lethbridge Classic is now open

Curling Canada is hosting an invitational tournament on the opening weekend of the 2022 Tim Hortons Brier at the Lethbridge Curling Club. The event will feature 30 U23 Team’s and 30 U23 Women’s teams in a four-day event, running from March 3 to March 6, 2022. Total cash prizes in the playoffs are $20,000 per gender. In addition to competing, all participating teams will watch the 2022 Tim Hortons Brier Wild Card game in person. The entry fee is $500 per team and teams must pay their own expenses.
