A Season of Singleness

Beautiful ones, Well it’s been a long while since I’ve written a post on here! That’s a long story for another time. But as I was sitting on the beach this morning just enjoying the sun, my coffee and spending time with Jesus, I felt His prompting to share about my season of singleness and encourage you. For those who don’t know, I’ve been dating the most wonderful man, Taipari, for just over 4 months…my first boyfriend! And when I asked the Lord when I should share this post, I felt Him say, ‘now’. I instantly felt the, ‘who do you think you are to share that story now’ feeling, as it has on ..read more

Hi there! My name is Chelsea Tooley and I am a creative entrepreneur. We all know how challenging it can be to maintain a healthy lifestyle whilst not having the cash flow to support it. Today I want to get real practical with you and give you 3 easy steps on how to eat well on a student budget. I remember when I was in College studying 4 days a week, barely having much time to work and just making enough to pay the weekly rent. I wasn’t left with much cash for groceries, but I am a firm believer that there are always ways to still feed your body the nutrients it needs whilst not spending a b ..read more

How Do I Find My Calling? (Part 1)
Flourishing Heart Blog

"No matter who you are, where you live, where you’re from, how old you are or what your financial situation is, this is achievable. Sometimes we fall into the trap of thinking that our purpose is somewhere ‘out there’, perhaps a few years away after we’re a little older or more qualified. But nothing could be further from the truth! Your purpose is here and now - today." If you’ve been around Christian circles long enough, you’ve probably heard the term, ‘calling’. If you haven’t, don’t stress! The word is used to describe what we’re on the earth for; what we’re meant to do with our wild & ..read more

A Heart Of Mercy

We live in a world that is so self-consumed that I find we rarely ever take a step back from looking at ourselves to look at those around us and see who may be in need of some guidance or just a little bit of love. Luke 6:36-37 - "Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven." Mercy. What is it? Mercy is defined as "compassion or forgiveness shown towards someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm", however, the Bible defines mercy beyond forgiveness and wit ..read more

Art Of The Meander

If you need confirmation that God exists, you only need to go for a wander in nature to find evidence. A few steps in a garden, park, forest or beach and you will see an infinite amount of intricately made flowers, birds, animals, trees, plants and creatures of the sea. Incredible thoughts, plans, and a great purpose is put into every living thing including humans made in love and in God’s image. Genesis 1:27-28 - "God created man in His own image. He created male and female, He created them. He blessed them and God said to them “be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it, have do ..read more

Building Your Capacity
Flourishing Heart Blog

Diamonds are one of the strongest materials on earth, but how do they get that strength? It’s no easy process. They are created at temperatures of up to 1,300°C and under pressures nearly 51,000 times the pressure of the earth’s surface-atmosphere! Do you sometimes catch yourself wishing you had the strength of diamonds? Do you wish you had a greater capacity? My friend, diamonds are formed no other way. Without the heat, without the pressure, there would be no diamond. And it’s the same with us - our capacity and strength develops when we are under pressure. Proverbs 17:3 says, “In the same ..read more

Oh, how STOKED I am to announce the launch of our BLOOM merch!! I have had this dream on my heart for a while, and thought what better time to launch our merch than springtime with the second issue of our Flourishing Heart Magazine! The dream really came from Colossians 3:12-14 in the Message version. It says, "So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you ..read more

Wow, can't believe we're here!! Issue 02 of the Flourishing Heart Magazine - BLOOM - is ready for pre-sale! What! I still remember when I was a teenager, thinking, 'wouldn't it be cool to have a magazine one day'... it's pretty surreal to have number 2 here. Thought I'd share a little about the heart behind BLOOM. Issue 01: WILLOW, was all about being deeply rooted. It was about having strong foundations and sturdy roots deep in the ground so that you can withstand the storms of life that come your way. We talked about how the deeper and wider the roots of a tree are, the bigger it can grow ..read more

Operation Christmas Child

At the start of 2018, I had the privilege of going to Cambodia with Samaritan’s Purse to hand out the Operation Christmas Child boxes. Samaritan’s Purse are an International humanitarian aid organisation. They aim to bring relief to victims of war, famine, disease, disasters, and poverty, and they often work in remote villages where no other aid organisation works. None of the children they come into contact with have ever received a present - and so Samaritan’s Purse began a project called “Operation Christmas Child”, which gives people an opportunity to put together a shoebox of small Chris ..read more
