Jovan Buha: If Ty Lue is let go by the Clippers I’ve been told that the Lakers will have interest in Ty Lue. They courted him in 2019 it did not go well, they ended up settling on Frank Vogel, who was their third choice behind Ty Lue and Monty Williams. It ended up working out they won a championship in their first season with Vogel but then he got fired a couple years later. Ty Lue the next season ended up taking the Clippers job after Doc Rivers was fired and Clippers have gone on to the Western Conference Finals once and we’ll see what ultimately happens with them against Dallas ..read more

Ryan Blackburn: This is the series. Right here. I asked Michael Malone about Minnesota rebounding nearly 40% of their own misses in the halfcourt against Phoenix in the first round. “If we don’t rebound, then we won’t get out and run, and that’s when we’re going to have a hard time scoring.” pic.twitter.com/xHXteLOHuu This is the series. Dane Moore: Asked Karl-Anthony Towns about, in ways, shifting back into being more of a center in this series (guarding Nikola Jokic) after being more of a wing in the Phoenix series (guarding Kevin Durant): “Doesn’t matter. I can be a center one moment. I can sub in and be a power forward the next moment. I can be a small forward in three-big men lineups. Whatever it takes to win, I’m willing to do ..read more

Complications exist. Phoenix’s projected payroll for next season is $206 million with another $100-plus million in luxury tax. The starting five is scheduled to make $184 million alone. That doesn’t provide much roster flexibility but the Suns will have options. Ishbia pointed out that Phoenix has five first-round draft picks over the next eight years. “We’ll go through every channel,” Jones said. “We’ll explore every scenario to add and build our team. It’s important to remember that we’re starting with six, seven, eight, really good core players. And when you’re talking about building on the ..read more

Asked specifically about buy-in and players losing trust in the head coach, Jones said he didn’t think that was the case. “I believe when things get tough and you’re uncertain, you start to guess, and I thought as we got near the end of the season, you saw some indecision,” he said. “Our guys (were) thinking too much and not playing. As we continue to spend time together, continue to build together, I think you’ll see it’s not about buy-in, it’s about belief. Belief in one another, belief that the things that we’re working on will translate in those moments ..read more
