Sheriff Craig Webre announced the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office will conduct a DWI checkpoint in Lafourche Parish. The checkpoint will begin on the evening of Monday, April 29, 2024, and will continue into the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 30. Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced one man has been arrested in an ongoing investigation into a Raceland shooting incident. Joshua Ingram Jr., 22, of Raceland has been charged with principal to attempted murder. At around 3:15 p.m. on April 24, 2024, deputies responded to reports of shots fired at the corner of St. Louis Street and Garden Street in Raceland. Sheriff Craig Webre announced the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office will host a Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) course on May 20-22, 2024, at the Law Enforcement Complex, located at 1300 Lynn Street in Thibodaux.
