A 72-year-old Hollywood, Florida man was given a mandatory notice to appear in court citation Monday for possessing over-the-limit fish. Deputies Jacob Ladd and Anthony Zito were patrolling Bahia Honda Bridge at approximately 1:42 a.m. when they inspected the catch of Jose Casero. He possessed seven mangrove snapper. A 42-year-old Immokalee, Florida motorist on U.S. 1 was arrested on multiple drug charges as well as a weapons-related violation. Robert Ramos was charged with being a felon in possession of ammunition, possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ramos was stopped while driving a Ford pickup truck with an expired tag northbound near Mile Marker 49 at 12:10 a.m. Saturday. There was a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the truck. A 39-year-old Marathon, Florida man was arrested Monday for threatening military aircraft. Michael Angelo Robulock was charged with threatening to discharge a destructive device. Robulock told the Sheriff’s Office the military was flying helicopters over his residence, adding that he would launch rockets at them if they flew below 1,000 feet. He stated, “If these (expletive deleted) keep flying over my house, they’re going to get a rocket.” He was taken into custody without incident. A 61-year-old Marathon, Florida man was arrested Monday for breaking into a business and stealing alcohol. Benigno Cruz Torres was charged with burglary, property damage, and possession of marijuana. The Overseas Pub & Grill in Marathon reported their business was burglarized Monday with approximately $217 in alcohol stolen and approximately $200 done in property damage. Detectives quickly identified Cruz Torres as the suspect. Cruz Torres admitted to burglarizing the business and was taken into custody within hours of the incident. A 42-year-old Fort Lauderdale, Florida motorist was arrested Monday after reaching speeds greater than 100 mph while fleeing from the Sheriff’s Office. Carolyn Marie Frawley was charged with fleeing and eluding. The Sheriff’s Office observed a southbound Chevrolet Tahoe near 37th Street on U.S. 1. in Marathon speeding at approximately 1:36 a.m. The Tahoe stopped near Mile Marker 47, and then took off at a high rate of speed, reaching 112 mph. A 57-year-old Homestead, Florida man was given a mandatory notice to appear in court citation Saturday for possessing an undersized fish. Islamorada Marine Deputy Martin Digrius was patrolling Lignumvitae Channel near Mile Marker 77.7 when he observed Jose Angeles Montero Bravo fishing.
