Matvei Michkov heading to Philadelphia with a KHL out is a possibility
Jonathan Bailey of Philly Hockey Now: Philadelphia Flyers prospect Matvei Michkov has two years left on his contract with SKA St. Petersburgh of the KHL. SKA chairman Alexander Medvedev said to MatchTV that it is possible that Michkov could head to North America for next season.
Medvedev said that Michkov lost his father last year and being around Sochi and Moscow may have been even harder on him as everything reminds him of his dad. A change of scenery may be easier on him. Medvedev is talking to the Flyers, and if they we ..read more

SKA not ruling out allowing Matvei Michkov to join the Philadelphia Flyers
Alexander Appleyard: (from a Matchtv.ru article) SKA Chairman Medvedev said that the Philadelphia Flyers would like to have Matvei Michkov in the NHL. SKA has a good relationship with the Flyers front office, who won’t violate Michkov’s KHL contract.
The sides will talk and SKA won’t “rule out” allowing Michkov to go to the NHL. A decision will be made by no later than the end of June.

Will Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee be the Philadelphia Flyers long-term plans?
Kevin Kurz of The Athletic: Morgan Frost was in John Tortorella’s doghouse this season. He came out of being a frequent scratch okay but struggled down the stretch. Will the 24-year-old be in the Flyers long-term plans? Frost has a year left on his contract at $2.1 million.

“It’s a tough question, I don’t know. I honestly have not thought about that. I know I have 1 more year left (on my contract).
