“I don’t wanna sleep it off.” – Jamilla Jamilla is a brand new artist that we were unable to find a press kit for, unfortunately this is the 5th artist presented on this blog that has started out unprepared. We took a listen to her debut single “Sleep It Off” and decided to put it through our J J Sugar Meter. We didn’t find her brand to be that exciting but we understand she is new, it’s nothing that a few years won’t fix. She’s not trashy but she is a bit mundane. We found her vocals weak it wasn’t horrible but needed more diaphragm push. Her lyrics were mediocre. We felt she needed to emphasize ..read more

We took a listen to CAIN’S single “Cool Kid” and decided to put it through our J J Sugar Meter and here are the results. His style is low key but colorful we are definitely vibing with this cool kid.He is clean cut and presentable which is refreshing to see in a world of sloppy Joe’s and scandalous hoe’s.Cain’s vocals are great in range, variation, and tune. We decided to put her track “Island” from her Outro album through our J J Sugar Meter and her are the results. His style is colorful and unique grabbing our interest right from the beginning. He tells a story with his choice of attire and definitely gives off an inviting personality. His vocals are crisp, clear, and full of different vocal styles and tones that are pleasant to listen to. “I used to be an Olympic track athlete for Panama but since the end of 2019 retired and followed my main passion of music.” – Chess Not Checkers Chess Not Checkers is new to the music scene with just a few songs. We took a listen to his track “My Girl” and put it through our J J Sugar Meter, here are the results. We like his fashionable bright style choice, this a man who knows how to match it up.The multiple uses of the word P***y makes it hard to vibe with. We feel this track was dedicated to his girls body more than her heart. He sounds great while harmonizing in back vocals but the front vo ..read more

“Just Spit On Occasion.” – Alan Ward Alan Ward considers himself to be and up and coming Hip Hop artist from Milwaukee Wisconsin. We took a listen to his latest single “Fashionable” here are the results. His brand is lacking the wow factor we are not cringing but he definitely needs to raise the bar to get us to begin to even vibe with his style. From what we see he may want to work on that drip.He comes off a bit monotone. If you listen hard you will hear some pretty ingenious word play. The beat was uneventful for his overpowering voice.Mastering is needed for this to sound level between his ..read more
