My purpose in starting a blog is to encourage people, who would like to know more about China than what they hear on the news, to read the book, and to have a blog dialogue. My interest in China began when I was preparing for a China trip to attend the Olympic Games in Beijing. My preparations included spending many hours in the library learning about China.
