Today's review is Uncle Digit and the Truth about Magic, written by Jeremy Hullah and illustrated by Zsuzsa. I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing Jeremy's debut book, The Beastly Baron of Beaux Bottom, which is a very funny fairy tale and beautifully illustrated. I was thrilled when Jeremy asked if I'd be interested in reading his latest work. What follows is a brief author bio on Jeremy Hullah, the book blurb, followed by my honest review, and finally, what I shall be reviewing next. AUTHOR BIO Jeremy Hullah grew up in the rural Midlands, where he spent a lot of time dreaming about b ..read more

Today is my turn on the OBRT for The Beastly Baron of Beaux Bottom, written by Jeremy Hullah and illustrated by Zsuzsa. I love reading children's stories and this one especially caught my eye because it reminded me of the fairy tales I'd read when I was young - only this book sounded much funnier! I love the names of the characters, such as The Warty Witch and The Greedy Goat of the Glen. Judging by the cover alone, this book is wonderfully illustrated too. So, now for my review... Today's book review is on Guinevere: The Quest for Excalibur, by Fil Reid. This is book five in the Guinevere series and follows on from; The Dragon Ring, The Bear's Heart, The Sword, and The Warrior Queen. When I was in college, I used to read a lot about the Arthurian legend and I remember enjoying a holiday in Glastonbury. There's something magical about that place. I remember walking around the Abbey ruins and hiking up to Glastonbury Tor, my imagination swimming in thoughts of King Arthur, the Knights of the Roundtable and legendary characters such as Merlin, Morgana and The Lady of the ..read more

It won't be long until The Legend of Childer's Forest is released. After all the hard work that's gone into writing and illustrating this, I am very excited about it finally being 'out there' for you all to read and - hopefully - enjoy. The Legend of Childer's Forest is much deeper and darker than the others in the Crazy Cream Adventure series. It took a lot more researching and brainstorming with my editor. All in all, I enjoyed working on Legend so much. One of the things I love most about plot building is when those lightbulb moments appear - when one thread seems to naturally weave into a ..read more
