Wednesday night’s game in Baltimore certainly was not an offensive barrage. The Bronx Bombers tallied 4 hits and the Baltimore Orioles tallied 3 in a 2-0 loss to the New York Yankees. The loss marked the first time that the Orioles have been shutout this season. The Baltimore Orioles defeated the New York Yankees 4-2 on Tuesday evening. Actually, in some ways the Yankees helped by beating themselves. In the second inning Anthony Santander (1 for 3, 2B, R, BB) led off with a double that for some reason Anthony Rizzo tracked into right field and dropped between him and Juan Soto. On a night that felt more like late July in Baltimore (game time temp. reported at 85 degrees), the Baltimore Orioles shut out the New York Yankees 2-0 on Monday. The Yankees, fresh off a 30 run and 37 hit weekend in Milwaukee did out hit the Orioles 7-4 but they did not out score them.
