Top 10 Conservative Voices For 2020
The Last Best Hope
by Parker Beauregard

Everyone has a Top 10 list, and they are never the same. Moreover, definitionally a Top 10 list is not comprehensive, so any omittance is the result of working within a finite set rather than failing to read, listen to, or follow the most prominent conservative voices. We all know how lists work, so without further ado, behold Parker Beauregard’s year in review. 10. Heather MacDonald It might be a bold choice by beginning this list with a woman. The leftist readers will immediately ascribe sexism due to the fact that men have ranked higher than her on the list. You can’t win, so I don’t try ..read more

And Just Like That, Government Begins Rationing Healthcare
The Last Best Hope
by Parker Beauregard
3y ago
In 2009, when then-President Barack Obama began laying out his healthcare policy, former candidate for Vice President Sarah Palin coined the term “death panel” to reflect the obvious consequence of involving government bureaucracy in medical decision making. She was - to one’s surprise - mercilessly hammered. Obama, a demagogue extraordinaire, even cited the charge as “demagogy against him,” right up there with the birther mythology. The usual chicanery and deceit played out; while the Affordable Care Act did not explicitly include a panel of physicians or government lifers sitting down like ..read more

Minneapolis Reports Violent Carjackings Are Up 537% This Year; I Hope It Goes Higher
The Last Best Hope
by Parker Beauregard
3y ago
Minneapolis residents, like the droves of fleeing Californians, refuse to learn from experience. They vote for fools, get foolish policies, and act surprised when their voting habits produce utter garbage. An article from December 1st in the Minneapolis Star Tribune ran a headline declaring that a “Staggering” surge in violent carjackings continues across Minneapolis. This was entirely predictable and avoidable, but residents quoted in the piece wanted to support the police reform efforts after the George Floyd overdose. Well, they are living through police reform and don’t like it. This is f ..read more

Weekend Conversation – The Future of Conservative Media
The Last Best Hope
by Parker Beauregard
3y ago
In this installment of Weekend Conversations, PF Whalen of ,The Blue State Conservative and Parker Beauregard of ,The Last Best Hope discuss how Americans can - and must - receive fair and honest news from alternative media sources under a Biden-Harris presidency. Parker: I live and hold conservative values, but I don’t see that biasing the opinions about to follow. As it stands, I don’t see how any normal, decent, thinking, or otherwise self-aware person living in the United States can watch CNN or read the New York Times and think they are getting “the news.” It is leftist, dogmatic brain s ..read more

Words We Never Thought We’d Say – Can We Have Al Gore Back?
The Last Best Hope
by PF Whalen
3y ago
Al Gore spent sixteen years in Congress, eight years as Vice-President, and the last twenty years as a post-political environmental activist. Memorable moments of Gore’s long career include his claim of “creating the internet,” winning the Nobel Peace Prize for his movie An Inconvenient Truth, and his extraordinarily close Presidential Election loss to George W. Bush in 2000. All these years later, we still occasionally hear jokes about Gore’s assertions regarding the worldwide web, and a favorite pastime of conservatives is to point out how absurdly wrong many of his climate predictions were ..read more

My Experience With Coronavirus
The Last Best Hope
by Parker Beauregard
3y ago
I recently became infected with the Chinese coronavirus. Along with the vast number of Americans, I also recovered. I have never doubted the veracity of the virus’s existence, and my family’s conditions were genuinely real, but it is hard to reconcile my experience with the public panic wrought by corrupted media and political personalities. Was this why my friends refuse to get together or why my country is panicking worse than the lawyer in Jurassic Park when he scampers off to the Porta-Potty? We don’t have to ask if fleeing the Explorer worked out for him. My first thought in all of this ..read more

This Is Kind Of Thinking An Expensive, Private, Liberal Arts School Produces
The Last Best Hope
by Parker Beauregard
3y ago
A rebuttal to an online leftist dumpster fire for the week of 12/1/2020. This week we look at the political genius of a private, liberal arts college student by the name of Ashley Holady. The article comes from Odyssey Online and is titled “,,7 Responses To Use When Your Republican Dad Brings Up Political Conversations At Thanksgiving.” The essay is another reminder that leftism reduces to the point of nonexistence any self-awareness. When not living with her parents, this entitled brat is attending an indoctrination camp in rural New York called the State University of New York at Stony Broo ..read more

The Democrats’ Endless Coronavirus Hypocrisies
The Last Best Hope
by Parker Beauregard
3y ago
A friend’s Facebook feed revealed to him that Denver’s Democrat mayor, Michael Hancock, felt entitled to break his own coronavirus sanctions against traveling for Thanksgiving and jet out to Mississippi. On an entirely unrepentant Facebook thread, he noted that “my wife and my daughter have been in Mississippi, where my daughter recently took a job...I decided that it would be safer to see them than to have two family members travel back to Denver.” Did that sound apologetic? In his concluding remarks, the mayor emoted that he “made my decision as a husband and a father.” As if no one else pl ..read more

The Insincerity of White Privilege
The Last Best Hope
by Parker Beauregard

Calling out leftist double standards, fraud, and hypocrisy is a full-time job for conservative writers. Although every smidgen of flatulence is still holy air when belched from Obama’s derriere (as opposed to Ivanka Trump, who was profiled in a case of Pulitzer-winning journalism for blaming a peer in high school about passing gas), it would be refreshing to see the “Democracy Dies in Darkness” Washington Post engage in some fact checking every now and again on Democrats. Of course, since Joe Biden would sooner speak coherently than the Post would critique his current mumblings, it is up to i ..read more

Weekend Conversation – The Republican’s Approach Moving Forward
The Last Best Hope
by Conservative Collaboration
3y ago
In this installment of Weekend Conversations, PF Whalen of ,The Blue State Conservative and Parker Beauregard of ,The Last Best Hope examine the approach of the Republican Party moving forward, with Election Day behind us and the likelihood of the Biden/Harris ticket emerging victorious. PF: I think we have to assume at this point that Biden’s going to be inaugurated on January 20th, and it’s a bitter pill, without a doubt. It’s important, however, for Republican leaders to focus on the positives, and there are plenty to consider. Before going into the positives, however, I should probably ge ..read more
