The Best "On The Go" Food and Beverages at Universal Orlando
Magical Adventure Co.

What comes to mind when you think of theme park food? Probably a turkey leg, popcorn, and some forgettable burgers and chicken tenders. You’re not wrong, but you’re not completely right either! Universal Orlando and Disney Resorts have made a concerted effort to step up their quick service food and beverage games. The payout for these upgrades is pretty top notch. And, take it from us at Magical Adventure Co, we have done the legwork! We’ll just say it: “You’re welcome.” It’s a sacrifice to eat all these foods and try all these drinks. But you know. We’re in it for the greater good ;) In this ..read more

Cars Land at Disney's California Adventure
Magical Adventure Co.
by Adam

As one of the first movie franchise themed lands at a Disney Park (think Pandora, Galaxy’s Edge, and Toy Story Land), Cars Land has been wowing guests ever since its opening in 2012 and has continued to marvel guests with its charm and immersiveness to this day. Over the past 9 years our team at Magical Adventure Co has visited this spot numerous times, and we love everything that it has to offer. Theming and Design Cars Land is themed, as you would expect, after the 2006 Pixar movie by the same name and mimics the small town along Route 66 where much of the movie is set. We’re not exaggerati ..read more

Welcome to the Disney Friends Blog Hop! Once you finish reading, be sure to check out the next post in the chain by using the link at the bottom of the page. We recently spent a few nights at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and truly loved it! But before we share all the things we loved (and a few we didn’t!), here are a few notes about how the resort has changed due to COVID. First, we felt incredibly safe wherever we went. Mask wearing was strictly enforced throughout the resort, including when you were outside walking to dining or transportation. The only places you could take off your ma ..read more

On-Property Update: Farewell Magical Express and Extra Magic Hours
Magical Adventure Co.
by Adam

On January 11th, Walt Disney World (WDW) announced that they would be doing away with Magical Express at the end of 2021 and permanently stopping Extra Magic Hours (EMH) in favor of Early Theme Park Entry. This isn’t a huge surprise as Magical Express had been operating on a limited basis, with no baggage handling services. Additionally, the resort had not been doing EMH since reopening in July. However, it is unfortunate to see these two great perks of staying on property go away. But don’t despair - this isn’t all bad news! The addition of the Early Theme Park Entry may make it an even grea ..read more

New Rise of the Resistance Boarding Group Strategy
Magical Adventure Co.

Disney recently announced that, as of November 3rd, they will begin piloting a new system for boarding groups for Rise of the Resistance. This change is a pretty big shift from their systems of the past and will likely have a significant impact on park strategy and wait times. The gist of the change is that you no longer have to be in the park to get in a boarding group! Instead, you now only need to have a park ticket and park reservation for Hollywood Studios for the day in question. However, be aware that the first opportunity to get a boarding pass will be at 7 am instead of at park openi ..read more

Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom

Just looking on a map, it’s easy to see that Fantasyland is the biggest of the Magic Kingdom’s six lands. That’s thanks to a 26 acre expansion that nearly doubled its size back in 2012 - 2014. This is the spot where your favorite classic Disney stories come to life. It’s always a hit with the littles, but there are plenty of things for adults to enjoy too. Fantasyland has three entrance routes (via Liberty Square, via the Hub, or via Tomorrowland) and three different areas with distinct theming. If you come in through Cinderella Castle or via Liberty Square, the first area you’ll see is the C ..read more

Frontierland at Magic Kingdom
Magical Adventure Co.

As is fitting for a land themed to the American West, Frontierland takes a bit of travel to get to. It’s the only land at the Magic Kingdom not directly accessible from the Hub (that beautifully-landscaped circular area between Main Street USA and Cinderella Castle.) To access it, you’ll have to go through Liberty Square or Adventureland. And trust us - you’ll want to take the walk. Frontierland is home to two of the Magic Kingdom’s Mountains - Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and (for now) Splash Mountain. These are two of the most popular rides in the park and for good reason. But more on that ..read more
