When I bought my first iPhone back in 2007, I thought I was buying something to call people from. It’s almost comical to look back on it. My iPhone is so much more than a phone. It’s my camera, my shopping mall, my music player, my map, my brain. Can you think of a time when you bought something for one reason, but ended up loving it for an entirely different reason? This happens all the time with our UX design services. In a most recent blog, Erin talked about one common fallacy we see in product development. Today, I’m covering another one. It has been a big week for me! Slide UX celebrated our 11th anniversary, my parents celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary, and America celebrated 247 years of independence. These milestones got me thinking about the small events that lead us to where we are. As I kid, I spent many afternoons on the small patio at my parents house. I would play with mulch and rocks, and listen as my mom talked with other teachers (often neighbors) about what was going on around town or at school. My mom has a knack for effortlessly forming deep, lasting relationships with women who could mentor her ..read more

They offer a discount on gas if you opt for a car wash, and you earn a free wash for every 10 you buy.     I tease Brant for being a sucker for these tactics, but he always wanted to keep the car washed.
