Could Fred Cats be changing addresses in a few months?
For months now, we’ve heard about Federico Gatti potentially being close to signing a new long-term contract with Juventus. We first heard about it in November, and there have been plenty of rumors since then that things have either progressed or reached a point of stagnation in negotiations.
As we now sit here in mid-March, there is still no contract extension actually signed.
And one of Juventus’ biggest Serie A rivals might be circling because of it.
According to Sky Italia on Wednesday, Napoli h ..read more

Juve could very well be planning for the immediate future.
Following a season of frustrating results and a pair of disastrous losses against Atalanta and Fiorentina going into the international break, it appears that Juventus’ front office are starting to seriously consider alternatives to Thiago Motta. We heard earlier this week that Juventus’ return from the break against Genoa could spell the end for Motta if he doesn’t achieve a positive result, something that goes against the public backing that Cristiano Giuntoli has expressed in recent weeks.

Now what?
The waning weeks of the Serie A 2024-25 campaign seem to be shaping up exactly as pundits, podcasters, and fans believed it would, with a battle between Inter Milan and Napoli, while the boys from Bergamo, Atalanta, try desperately to work their way back into Scudetto competition.
What nobody could have predicted to come from this season is the continued utter disaster that has come from the first year of the Thiago Motta and Cristiano Giuntoli experiment.

Motta could very well be hanging on by a thread.
In the aftermath of Juventus’ heavy defeat to Fiorentina this past Sunday, the Bianconeri front office have still publicly backed manager Thiago Motta as the man to lead the club forward. Motta and the management team reportedly met Monday for a lunchtime chat about what has been going wrong, with Cristiano Giuntoli providing what was described as “cold, objective, in-depth” analysis.
That apparently wasn’t all.

For the second consecutive Sunday, Juventus were handed a humiliating loss by a contender for a European position, this time at the hands of Fiorentina in a 3-0 loss in Florence.
Instead of a response against Fiorentina, Juventus just went out and did more of the same following their massive home defeat to Atalanta two Sundays ago.
It was bad.
It was very bad.
But for the last two weeks, Juventus have been the second best team on the field — and by a very significant margin that has resulted in the Bianconeri being outscored 7-0 in losses to A ..read more

Juventus was toothless on both sides of the ball as they received another drubbing to drop out of the top four.
There were questions as to whether Sunday’s match between Juventus and Fiorentina would even be played. Severe weather in Tuscany had caused some severe flooding, but the danger subsided long enough for officials to give the game the go-ahead.
Would that it had kept raining a few more days.
A week after their 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Atalanta, the Bianconeri again found themselves on the back end of a thrashing ..read more

More heat for the man who fills out the starting lineups at Juventus.
Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli typically talks with Sky Italia before the kickoff to games, but after Sunday night’s 3-0 defeat at the hands of Fiorentina in Florence, things were a little bit different.
And rightfully so.
Giuntoli was the first one to walk up to the Sky Italia mic for a post-game chit-chat, not under-fire manager Thiago Motta, who has seen Juve suffer two of their three losses on the Serie A season by a combined 7-0 scoreline in back-to-back weekends as they’ve ..read more

Somebody please wake us up from this nightmare.
In a way, there was a line of thinking that Juventus’ blowout loss to Atalanta last weekend — the kind the club hasn’t suffered since the late 1960s — was either rock bottom or something very, very close to it.
Little did we know Juve would go out and sink even lower seven days later.
Another Sunday, another blowout involving Thiago Motta and Juventus. But just like last Sunday, it wasn’t the kind of blowout that many of us enjoyed the first couple weeks of the 2024-25 season. Instead, a week after Juventu ..read more

Can Juve get back on the horse against a Fiorentina team that always treats their visit to Florence as one of the biggest fixtures of the season?
There are 10 games to go in the 2024-25 season. Ten more chances for Juventus to, somehow, try and salvage something out a season that has certainly had its moments of major disappointments — especially over the last month.
That’s not to say the confidence of seeing them doing that is all that high at the moment when you consider the last time Juve played they were absolutely played off the field by Atalanta ..read more
