Options to replace Tuchel are running thin at the moment.
Bayern Munich still do not have a Thomas Tuchel replacement lined up for after this season and the candidate’s list is getting smaller and smaller as the season dwindles down to an end. All signs were pointing towards Bayern agreeing an exit fee with the OFB to break Ralf Rangnick from his contract as Austrian national team manager, but after intensive discussions with the governing board for the national team, the former Bundesliga and Manchester United interim manager has decided to stay at the hel ..read more

Save that for another time
Before Bayern Munich drew 2-2 with Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League semifinals, the executives of both clubs had lunch together in Munich. It has also been established that Alphonso Davies is the subject of interest from Los Blancos and club CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen was asked if that matter was mentioned at all in the meeting. He affirmed that it was not brought up (kicker’s Georg Holzner as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia).
Die Rekordmeister have not given up on Davies just yet as they continu ..read more

Keep that spirit going, Bayern fans.
Bayern Munich may be trudging towards its first Bundesliga title concession in twelve seasons, but the vibes are anything but sullen thanks to the Bavarians’ strong displays in the Champions League.
Bayern followed up an impressive two legs vs. Arsenal FC in the quarters with an equally strong showing against Real Madrid at home in the first leg of the semifinals. There is just starting to be a sense of destiny about this season.
One man who remembers what destiny is like? Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who drew co ..read more

MOAR DEFENDERS
Bayern Munich seem to have a knack for signing any Bundesliga player that performs well enough to catch their attention. In this case, it’s Bayer Leverkusen center-back Jonathan Tah. Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg (via @iMiaSanMia) reported that Tah’s representatives said he would be open to moving to Munich, but no agreement or offer has been made. His price tag is €20 million; several Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation too.
Tah himself has acknowledged the interest but is putting it off until the end of th ..read more

Him, too?
RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose has seen the chaos of Bayern Munich’s coaching carousel and knows one thing — he wants no part of that mess.
When asked if he would pick up the phone if Max Eberl called, Rose had an interesting reply.
“When Max calls, I always answer. Then I ask him how it’s going, what things look like at Tegernsee, wish him all the best and hope that we’ll see each other again soon,” Rose said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “I think FC Bayern are coping quite well without Marco Rose. Sometimes there are situations in football that are a ..read more

0 for 3...but fans won’t mind this one.
Yes, you read that right — Ralf Rangnick has rejected Bayern Munich and will not take over the club next season.
Over the past week, a flurry of rumors confirmed by public statements from board members and Rangnick himself indicated that both parties were very close to an agreement for Rangnick to become the next head coach of Bayern Munich.
Fortunately, it will no longer be the case after the ÖFB (Austrian Football Association) confirmed the report by Sport Bild’s Christian Falk, officially stating that Rangnick will remain manager of the Austrian nati ..read more

It was a good day at the office for the Bavarians.
Bayern Munich notched a neat feat against Real Madrid in the home leg of its Champions League semifinals tie, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Despite the scoreline, the Bavarians had the upper hand for large spells of the game and will be disappointed to come away without a larger advantage. However, one stat they will not be unhappy with is the precision of their passing on the day: at 93.7%, 520 completed out of 555 attempts, Bayern reached rarefied air. What would have happened if the Bavarians did not unleash Hansi Flick?
Bayern Munich always seems to have a way of coming back around to coaching candidates — and the man of the hour, Ralf Rangnick, is no exception.
When Bayern hired Thomas Tuchel, it was revealed that Tuchel was in the bosses’ crosshairs years before, but the opportunity never crystallized. But it is a similar story for Rangnick, according to Sport Bild.
Via @iMiaSanMia:
Ralf Rangnick was already a candidate for Bayern in 2019 when Niko Kovač was struggling. Back then, a group of players went to the club’s management and sp ..read more
