The Cincinnati Reds drafted Jackson Miller in the 2nd round of the 2020 Major League Baseball draft. With the 2020 minor league season cancelled, Miller did not play in the 2020 year outside of maybe some early games in the spring with his high school. The next season he joined the Arizona Complex League Reds a few weeks into the season, played in three games, then was put on the injured list and didn’t play again that year. The Cincinnati Reds signed Ariel Almonte back in January of 2021 out of the Dominican Republic as an international free agent at the age of 17. The Daytona Tortugas infielder put together a big series against the Bradenton Marauders this past week to earn the award. Cabrera went 10-for-20 during the series in his six games played.
