Smartphones have really seen a change in terms of the weight, size, functionality and many more. Previously, smartphones were just a device capable of doing a fraction of what we have today. Yet innovation and development is rapidly changing the smartphone scene which is a great advantage for us consumers. Since we are all able to enjoy and utilise the innovations into our daily lives.  It’s also quite unthinkable seeing how these small handheld devices have become so important in our daily lives. Checking emails, listening to music, taking photos. These activities were also possible back ..read more

The pandemic has definitely hit us Malaysians pretty hard. Yet that’s not enough to break the spirits of Malaysians. During these periods of hardship and perseverance, good deeds are not missing but instead are practised even more. This has shown how far this little multi-racial nation has grown and learned to accept the differences and yet live prosperously.  These good deeds come in all forms, sometimes pretty unexpected. Just earlier today an Ipoh lady who feeds stray mice received attention for her deeds in helping to feed strays so they don’t go hungry. Her usual routine of feeding t ..read more

With the pandemic still present and cases still fluctuating from time to time, it is definitely not an easy task to kick-start the economy. The pandemic came at an unexpected timing. While also changing many things that have been done normally. With that, experiencing a global pandemic wasn’t unthinkable. Since us Malaysians had also experienced the SARS disease back in 2002 and 2003.  There is however a common theme whenever an infectious disease were to be present. Economy during those periods of time is highly likely to be badly affected. Tourism is especially affected heavily since bo ..read more

Garbo was founded by Kathryn Kosmides back in 2018 who is a survivor of gender-based violence. The partnership between Tinder and Garbo would allow its users to perform background checks on their potential dates. This feature is quite important in this technological era coupled with the issue of gender based violence as well. The service adds another layer of security for women to put themselves at ease.  Meeting new people is pretty easy in this millennia with the internet and smartphones. Communication has never been this easy and widespread. Where a person is able to be acquainted with ..read more

Namewee cooperating with police

It’s said that artists like Namewee are constantly involved deeply in politics, art and humanities. Their artwork is always the depiction of the current society and the issues that follow with it. However, one important thing to remember is that their artwork can oftentimes be both political and powerful. Politics can be very tricky to go about as it’s very easy to step on any one party’s tail.  That notion itself is quite dangerous since it’s not always possible to be pleasing a political party’s side. Oftentimes the ones that make the biggest impression are the artists who are the gover ..read more

70km car chase ends with fine and jail time

A car chase with the police for 70km seems like a little too far fetched. However it was pretty real in a small town in Pahang in the Maran District. Personally, a 70km car chase with the police is quite a question as how did the victim manage to travel that far. While that itself is a question, it was fortunate that there weren’t any injuries during the whole chase.  From the information regarding the chase, it all started when Mohamad Asyraf Haniff Ramlee, 25 was flagged down by a traffic policeman, Corporal D.Kalaiselvan stopped him for two offences. One of which is using the phone whi ..read more

Estranged not so estranged to helping others

Who could forget Estranged, the alternative rock band that gave us Itu Kamu. Estranged shook the Malaysian music industry when Itu Kamu went on to the mainstream radio. It was quite an accomplishment since the music back then was always dominated by a lot of western music and artists.  However, that wasn’t their only accomplishment. The band has also performed alongside The All-American Rejects, Hoobastank, Raygun, Boys Like Girls, Pixie Lott, Misha Omar, and Kasabian in MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia back in 2009. Even though the timeline of their success is quite dated, the band is st ..read more

Here in Malaysia, it’s very well known that there’s only two weathers to us. Either it be blistering hot or just plain heavy rain. That’s quite understandable since the little nation is situated in the equatorial region which gives us the two polarising weathers. However, due to that, we Malaysians are also blessed with plenty of forestry and wildlife. However, that’s not only it, Malaysia also houses one of the largest cave systems in the world. Located in Sarawak, the Gunung Mulu National Park which is also a World Heritage Site. That itself is quite impressive coming from a small nation of ..read more

When the pandemic came, many people’s lives took a turn. Many have also lost their jobs due to the pandemic as well as the SOP’s in place for non-essential service companies. In which limits their options to continue operating. However, it’s also known that during times of hardship, that’s then we are able to see and experience undivided and sincere help from our Malaysian fellows.  Uncle Kentang, who is already seen and known by Malaysians for his philosophies of aiding another without expecting any rewards. It’s understood that the simplest things when done in the right way are able to ..read more

When the entire Malaysian nation went into its first MCO on March 18 last year, many people didn’t know what changes to expect. Since the format of working would need to see a change with the use of the internet. The unexpectedness of the pandemic hitting was the biggest reason to change the way we work today.  Fortunately many sectors are able to adapt the entire shift.  From the physical formatting to the digital formatting. Where many today are working from home. While many are enjoying the current way of working, there are also many that aren’t too happy with it. With the current ..read more
