He played four years at Oklahoma, starting the year after Kyler Murray was drafted, and then played last season in Miami to show his versatility. He started at Snow College in Utah and then transferred to UAB, where former Cardinals receiver J.J. Nelson was drafted out of. He is 6-2 and 210 pounds with great athleticism. The Arizona Cardinals had two fifth-round draft picks this year and used the second of them to select offensive tackle Christian Jones, who played tackle for Texas. Jones was at Texas for six seasons, and started for four years, mostly at right tackle. He is 6-5 and 305 pounds with long 34.5-inch arms. The Arizona Cardinals had five picks on Day 4 of the 2024 NFL draft. Their first selection on Saturday was Texas Tech safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, known also as “Rabbit.” He is a little undersized like Budda Baker (5-10, 197 pounds) and is athletic. He has good range and great ball production. Over his last three seasons, he had 10 interceptions and 33 pass breakups. The Arizona Cardinals entered the 2024 NFL draft with big needs at receiver, the edge (outside linebacker) and cornerback. They selected two receivers and three cornerbacks but their only edge defender was in the fifth round, Xavier Thomas out of Clemson. The Arizona Cardinals had four picks in the fourth round, and for their fourth pick, the 90th in the draft, they selected Boston College cornerback Elijah Jones. Jones is older, having spent six years in college. He missed the final four games of last season for personal reasons. He is long at 6-1 1/2 and athletic. He had great on-ball production, too. The Arizona Cardinals have finished their 2024 NFL draft class, selecting 12 players over the seven rounds. They added three cornerbackers, two receivers, two offensive linemen, a running back, a tight end, a defensive lineman, an outside linebacker and a safety. They don’t have much room on the roster. Davis was ranked No. 60 among cornerbacks by Dane Brugler. His 5-foot-10 and 187 pounds. He was not invited to the combine but completed his athletic testing at his pro day.
