I love major feast days, and I especially love any feast day that honors our Most Holy Theotokos! On March 25th, exactly 9 months until Christmas, the Orthodox Church celebrates the feast of the Annunciation - when the Archangel Gabriel announced to Mary that she was chosen to carry and give birth to our Lord. For the feast of the Annunciation, we hosted a sweet activity for the children in our parish - makings the beginning of a Mary Garden! As apart of our parish feast day tradition, for all major feasts we host a church wide potluck, and kids corner.
