It’s been a year now since I moved from the cold Czech Republic back to my warm country Kenya. Moving back to Kenya, I tried living in the capital city but was in need of a slow life. It took me over a year to slowly shift from m ..read more

For those environmentally minded individuals who want to devote themselves to their passion, we are quite familiar with FREE work requests because most environmental organisations are Non profit but as much as we love volunteering, our bills won’t allow us to volunteer for a long time which drives many of us to take a job that doesn’t match our values just to earn a paycheck. We came from Watamu so we took a taxi from Watamu to Che Shale which was about an hour 10min drive. You might think that’s a bit of a drive but when you realise that you are headed to paradise, then it doesn’t seem that long. In case you’re flying in via Malindi airport, Che shale Eco hotel Kenya is 21km away from the airport.
Che Shale hotel and kitesurf Center is a laid-back beachfront hotel located in Mambrui. The Eco hotel is run by a small family who put good effort into making the en-suite 8 bandas built with locally sourced materials as chic and as eco friendly as possible.
