The 2024 NFL draft is in the books, and it was certainly a memorable one kicking off with a chaotic first round that featured an historic run on quarterbacks, wide receivers and offensive tackles, along with trades galore and some surprising picks. While it’s far too early to evaluate these draft classes in full — considering they haven’t yet along played an NFL game — there’s been plenty of reaction to these 2024 rookie classes. There were several teams that were clear winners while others had some questionable moves that garnered early criticism. But we truly won’t know who won or lost this ..read more

“May the best man win.” It’s a statement typically made before a competition of peers. In the NFL, it’s a common sentiment when players within a certain position group compete for roster spots. Draft status, age and salary all play a part in the final determination, but more often than not, roster spots are given to the better player on the field. If the Cowboys are trying to keep four on their roster, it’s a battle between tight ends. Other positions on the team play a part, but generally it’s one TE competing against all the other TEs in order to claim a top-four status. On paper it looks l ..read more

Instead, he’ll now wear No. 15, same as he wore last season in New England and in college at Ohio State. The switcheroo was confirmed Wednesday by Patrik Walker of the team website. The Cowboys have already made three moves following the draft to add veterans to the fold. The NFL accelarated the date when free agent signings no longer impact the compensatory formula, so now once the draft ends, teams can immediately get back to work to filling holes with experienced players. Dallas added Ezekiel Elliott and Damien Wilson, the latter being an internal re-sign, but they still have a handful of roster spots open. With rookie camp coming in a couple of weeks, the team may wait to see if any tryout guys are worthy of adding to the offseason program. Still, players can be rele ..read more
