Self-inflicted. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone players excited to jump into the shooter's vaunted Season 1 Reloaded might want to hold off, as it appears some fairly catastrophic bugs have broken containment. Players have been sharing their experiences of the update so far, which really must be seen to be believed. IGN has been chronicling the affair, which has players unable to get into games, and when they do, are being hit with gameplay glitches and strange visual issues. It's quite surprising to see the AAA shooter in such a state, but developer Raven Software is already on the ..read more

Ready for deployment. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is locked and loaded for a 10th November release, and it’s Sledgehammer's turn in the spotlight. At Gamescom, we were treated to a "campaign premiere", which looks predictably slick and may entice us for that aspect alone, just as last year's Modern Warfare 2 managed to do. We're shown the opening minutes of the first campaign mission, called "Operation 627". Players will return to Verdansk, although this time, seeing it from a new perspective and facing a new threat. A direct sequel to Modern Warfare 2, it picks up immediately after the eve ..read more

"It's just been such a sh*t year for games". Call of Duty developers that levelled criticism at Kratos voice actor Christopher Judge for joking about the length of Modern Warfare 3's campaign at The Game Awards have walked their initial comments back, citing frustration at the industry's current state. After Judge's joke (which was self-deprecating at its core, making light of how long he spent on stage last year), several Tweets from Call of Duty developers went viral, with plenty of strong opinions from fans of both franchises thrown in for good measure. Judge and jury. Kratos’ voice actor Christopher Judge has p*ssed off the Call of Duty team, after he roasted Modern Warfare 3’s campaign prior to presenting the Best Performance award at this year’s The Game Awards. The actor – who infamously rambled for several minutes when he grabbed a gong last year – said: “Fun fact, my speech was actually longer than this year’s Call of Duty campaign.” The latest from Sledgehammer Games has attracted strong criticism for its half-baked single player mode and recycled multiplayer maps. In our Modern Warfare 3 PS5 review, we described it as a “truly anaemic ..read more

Historic, allegedly. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is not a good game – in fact, it may be one of the worst entries in the series, aside from spin-offs like the abysmal outsourced PS Vita release. With a Metacritic score of just 56 for the PS5, this dismal edition of the annual first-person shooter series is tussling with titles like The Lord of the Rings: Gollum as one of the worst of the year – not exactly the kind of accolade you’d expect to be attributed to a billion-dollar blockbuster brand. <related ids="158372"> Read the full article on pushsquare.com ..read more
