House Of Teens

There are so many beautiful songs out there and today I take you to the Giant Of Africa where we can’t deny the good music they produce so without wasting time, let’s jump into it 1. African woman by 1da Banton. This is an African rooted song and personally, I love the way it praises women especially African women. The beats and lyrics have a distinctive way of pulling you off the bed and practicing those dance steps 2. As E Dey Go by Naira Marley If you’re Nigerian or an African, you’ll know just how influential Naira Marley is and really controversial. His beats are the best features of his ..read more

I liked this guy. I think it bordered towards love because the hurt was too much. Love has a lot of meaning and right now, I don’t even have a meaning for it but what I do know love isn’t, is selfish. So I liked this guy, let’s call him Tom. Tom was and is handsome, tall, light skinned, glasses(I am a sucker for guys on glasses sadly), very very intelligent. What drew me to him wasn’t the physical attributes, it was the conversations we had at little times, his brain, his laughter and the way his eyes settled only on me Almost glistening because of the glasses. His small lips quirking up when ..read more

Parties. The word that comes to mind when you think of parties, is fun. Some wild ass fun that leaves you talking about it for days to come. And when we think about it, a smile appears. Oh good days. What a good day that was. Maybe we kissed our crush, maybe we finally took that stash of alcohol, maybe we finally had the freedom to dance and do as we please without supervision. Maybe its just the fun we get, or being with friends or the thrill of the night. Could be anything really Everyone attends a party… At least once in their life. Even seniors have a party thrown for them but I’m not a ..read more

Acing those tests

Whoever invented tests and exams needs to be spat on or don’t you think so? But no matter how many times we spit on their graves(I believe they should be dead), we can’t just stop writing tests and exams now so in today’s post, I’d be giving you my personal and well-proven tips on how to ace those tests and oh, impromptu ones too. Before I entered the university, I didn’t really have to worry too much about tests and exams but trust me, I worried. I would cry if I didn’t do well. Can you relate or am I just the crazy one? Anyways, while in secondary school, I relied on my brain and not on m ..read more

We’re together in this. Your loss is mine. Your happiness is mine Corona virus came in months ago, stole our family, stole our peace, stole our joy. It stopped us from going to school, it prevented us from going outside, it killed our friends, our mums, our dads, our children, our siblings, our partners, our leaders, loved ones and it had the guts to not also let us say goodbye It took our lives in its hands, and tossed it out. It has made me mental. When Nigeria recorded its first Corona virus case, I didn’t even think about it. I was still in school, I didn’t want to travel back home. But ..read more

Once upon a time… Even now
House Of Teens

Hey everyone, so today’s post is a little different. It’s a poem I personally relate to and I believe everyone kinda relates to too. Btw, it’s written by yours truly… enjoy and comment your thoughts on it I once had a childhood wish, a wish I prayed night and day that God will grant… Whenever I saw a shooting star, that was the only wish that came to my mind… Whenever I wanted to blow my birthday candle, that was what came to my mind… But as time went by, I gradually forgot my wish Because what I wished for seems to be coming as the opposite… Can you guess this wish? You prolly had or still ..read more

We’re Lost And We’re Not Found

The world is vast. Too vast, very wide and with a lot of varieties. Sometimes it feels like I’m in the middle of a very large expanse of sea filled with humans. I am confused, no one is listening to me, nobody notices me, everyone is talking above me, I am nothing to them. I am choking, my eyes are misty, heavy with a longing to just find a way, to stop being stuck, to be like all these people rushing off to somewhere, with a destination. If only I can find somewhere to rush to, to know and be certain of my purpose and the path to follow to get there but I am stuck until I can find at least ..read more
