You probably can’t tell it, but the upper half of this photo is actually the base of a mountain on the north end of Las Vegas Valley. The location is just north of the Ice Age Fossils State Park I featured a while back. Just take Decatur Road to its north end, pass the park, and arrive at the Clark County Shooting Range. First I need to say that these photos are not my work. They were sent to me via a text message this morning from my friend back in Michigan. There are many kinds of boats that travel the Saint Clair River, I was once one of them passing under the Bluewater Bridge from Port Huron, Michigan to Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. Sarnia is a nice little town. The big ore boats travel through the locks at Sault Saint Marie which also is on the border between Michigan and Ontario. They also head south through Lake Saint Claire and into Lake Erie. The Great Lakes watershed is huge and holds a very significant ..read more
