The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is excited to announce our partnership with Ring and the Neighbors App. Detectives and station personnel from across the county completed their training today and out stations are now live. Station staff are able to receive information and interact with residents through the app. Customers with a Ring camera will be able to share videos with their local Sheriff’s station. San Bernardino County’s Animal Care and Control (ACC) is announcing the new licensing fee schedule for the next fiscal year that begins Wednesday, July 1, 2020. These fees apply to residents of all unincorporated county areas and the cities of Highland, Yucaipa and Big Bear Lake.
Dog licensing fees have increased, though discounts still exist for dogs that are altered (spayed or neutered) and for senior citizens and disabled citizens with altered dogs. Yucaipa Boulevard motorists may have noticed construction activities occurring along the western edge of the City, near Interstate 10. Several projects that had been approved by the City’s Planning Commission and City Council are now underway, and their construction teams are making great progress. This includes the first phase of the Yucaipa Pointe Project, where a new Chick Fil A restaurant, famous for its chicken sandwiches, waffle fries, and “Icedream” cones, is going to be built next to the In-N-Out site.

The construction crews at the Yucaipa Pointe Project continue to make quick progress in developing the site. On Friday, December 11, 2020, the County of San Bernardino outlined their vaccine rollout plan. Phase 1a vaccinations will give priority to frontline healthcare workers working in intensive care units (ICU), emergency rooms (ER) and COVID units, along with first responders.
