YUCAIPA (CBSLA) — The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department issued an evacuation warning for those near the El Dorado Fire burn scar.
Residents in Oak Glen, Forest Falls, Mountain Home Village, Northeast Yucaipa, east of Bryant Street and North of Date Avenue, as well as those near Highway 38 from Bryant to Angelus Oaks.

YUCAIPA (CBSLA) – Some residents in the Inland Empire faced rough driving conditions with Tuesday’s downpour creating a muddy mess of streets, especially in burn scar areas like Lytle Creek.

Though there have been no reports of major damage caused by the storm, thousands of residents were ordered to evacuate for their own safety.

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – A storm has hit the Southland, forcing multiple evacuation orders and evacuation warnings across the region.
The storm, expected to last throughout much of Tuesday, is predicted to bring high powered winds, heavy rain, cold weather and even snow in some areas.
For regions recently affected by wildfires, the remaining burn scar areas could experience flooding, mudflow and/or debris flow.

INLAND EMPIRE (CBSLA) — First responders and county officials are warning residents near burn scar areas to prepare for the impending storm before it arrives.
“There’s no guarantee that fire and public safety personnel will be able to effect a rescue,” said CalFire captain Alison Hesterly. “We encourage everyone to heed the evacuation orders.”

BEAUMONT (CBSLA) – A strong summer storm blasted thunder, rain and mudslides through parts of the mountains and high deserts Thursday.
“It does rain in sunny Southern California,” Apple Valley resident Tony Enos said. “It actually looks like a real storm.”
The summer storm packed an unexpected punch and, said Enos, lasted for about a half hour in his neighborhood before working its way into several other mountain and desert towns.

YUCAIPA (CBSLA) — The three lakes at Yucaipa Regional Park are closed until further notice due to toxic algae in the water.
The closure comes as people are looking forward to the long Labor Day holiday weekend.
According to an advisory posted on the state’s My Water Quality site last Friday, lab results detected a significant harmful algal bloom in Bottom Lake and the presence of antatoxin-a and microcystin in Middle Lake.
