A Yucaipa man was arrested in connection with a burglary at a jewelry store on Saturday after police say they spotted him observing the investigation while still covered in drywall and debris from the break-in. A Moreno Valley man is behind bars after he allegedly opened fire on a Yucaipa home last month. Peter Ibarra Gurrola, 22, was arrested Wednesday in connection with a Nov. 17 attack on a house in the 33000 block of Colorado Street, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said in a news release. A San Bernardino County couple charged with intentionally causing car crashes and then posting videos of them on YouTube was sentenced on Tuesday after pleading no contest. Christopher Phelps, 40, and his wife, Kimberly Phelps, 40, both from Yucaipa, were arrested in March and accused of causing crashes in an attempt to collect fraudulent insurance payouts, officials said. A Yucaipa High School teacher has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old boy, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department announced Friday.
