Value Doctor: Three RB’s for Cheap
The Millennial Boomer

There is value everywhere! Even at the RB position, the hardest, most expensive place to find efficiency. A few RB’s have fallen extremely low on the rankings and projected to go in much later rounds or for a relatively cheap auction price. Low cost for low risk and potential major scores. A precision striker in a draft can snipe the opportunity and secure great picks at a great price. Here are three players you should keep a keen eye on, including my ratings and explanations for each: ·         Todd Gurley (ATL): Buy   Over the last ..read more

Early List: Joe Mixon is Overpriced

Be very picky when selecting your RB1. This is your workhorse. This is the meat and potatoes of your team. A mistake at the RB position could lose your entire season as early as your draft date. I favor studs, if you are paying prime time auction $’s, or using a crucial early first round pick, I want some juicy material. I’m going to analyze Joe Mixon and his average rating as I feel it’s far too high for how much risk is involved with taking Mixon as your RB1 as compared to other options.   Currently, Joe Mixon (CIN) has an average draft position of #12 overall or RB7 off the board, acco ..read more

Drafting the All-Stars
The Millennial Boomer

Where to begin… The All-Stars. The best of the best. The Saquon Barkley’s, the Michael Thomas’s, the Patrick Mahomes’s. The most expensive but most productive players in fantasy football. I consider “all-stars” to be the top 3 or 4 players in their respective positions. So, do you draft them? Yes. Maybe. Well, it depends… This decision is sort of implied in a snake style draft. If you’re #1 pick, obviously you are drafting an All-Star. In that scenario, you must. Many of your decisions are essentially determined by your randomly generated draft order, unless you’re getting really outlandish. T ..read more

Early List: 10 Draftable TE’s

The tight end position is notoriously difficult to find consistency. A unique roster spot that is extremely tough to fill with good value. Mistakes at this position could lead to disaster. Be careful not to overpay for these players, as most TE’s are routinely spotty with their average points per week. Search for value and replace quickly. Here is my list of tight ends you should be on the lookout for, or seek, in your upcoming draft. 1. Travis Kelce Kelce is best in slot for the TE position. Can’t get any better than this. Though he won’t be cheap. A consistent end zone target from the best Q ..read more

Michael Thomas (NO) No brainer. Thomas will go in the first round. This is the elite of the elite, with a staggering 78% completion rate. After McCaffrey and Saquon, Michael Thomas is your best bet. #3 pick overall. Confidently take him and be proud. Brees is back and they will score buckets of points all year long. Upgraded in PPR. Auction Max: 35% of budget. Davante Adams (GB) Adams is the premier catcher from the mad lad himself; Aaron Rodgers. A gifted wide out none the less. Adams could be worthy of a late first round snag. Depending on the number of teams in your league. A value gra ..read more

Patrick Mahomes Is there any better? No. You could argue that Lamar Jackson could be, but c’mon. Maniac Mahomes is king. Coming fresh off a super bowl, Mahomes is a legitimate third round overall grab. You should take Mahomes with absolute satisfaction. Best QB right now, and possibly ever. Fourth round steal. Auction Max: 15% of budget Lamar Jackson Shocking, I know. I will concede that Lamar Jackson is the second best QB in the league. And an complete stud in the fantasy universe, due to his footwork. This man broke every record in the book it seems (link to some: crazy records). If he ..read more

Early List: 8 Core RB’s for Your Fantasy Football Draft

1. Christian McCaffrey No doubt in my mind, this is the clear cut #1 choice. If you are first up in the draft, this is an easy decision. Take McCaffrey and don’t think twice. This dude is a literal monster. Talent, size, and volume. There is no better option. Even without Cam. Auction Max: 40% of budget 2. Saquon Barkley Next off the board should be Saquon. The Giants have gone through hell the last couple of seasons. If they can show even the slightest sign of competence, Saquon could prove even better than McCaffrey. Though, the Giants foray is still hard to judge, I’d take Saquon #2 overall ..read more

Quarantine, Code Word for Self-Improvement

Photo by Andrew Heald on Unsplash From my experience so far, there’s little upside to a nationwide lockdown. Businesses are shuttered or partly open for pickup only. Retail entertainment and dining is completely nonexistent. The gyms are closed. Leaving us with GrubHub and Netflix to provide everything that we desire, including the looming thought that this is slowly becoming the new norm. The only positive coming from the virus lockdown, or quarantine, is opportunity. This is quite possibly the best time to focus on yourself. At least that’s what I’ve been trying to do. Since the lockdown beg ..read more
