A former Katsina State governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Shema, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC). Shema ruled Katsina from 2007 to 2015 under the PDP. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a fake doctor, Oladiti Saheed, over the death of a pregnant woman in Osun State. NSCDC accused the 32-year-old of parading himself as a medical doctor without the required qualifications for the past six years. The Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-corruption Agency has arrested three senior officials of the state government for allegedly recommending illegal migrants to secure Nigerian citizenship. The Lagos State Police Command has identified the police officer who shot dead one Toheeb Eniafe at a petrol station in the state. Eniafe was shot dead during a stampede at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) filling station in the Obalende area of Lagos on Wednesday night. The Federal Government has promised stringent measures for gas companies seeking gas distribution licences in the country. Police operatives have arrested the suspected mastermind of the March 2022 Abuja-Kaduna train attack, Ibrahim Abdullahi aka Mandi. The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this at a press briefing in Kaduna State. Suspected bandits had on that fateful day detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on the train and forced it to derail somewhere near Kaduna. Police on Thursday arraigned one Afeez Aderibigbe at the Grade ‘A’ Customary Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, for alleged membership of a confraternity.
