The fencing has gone up and ground work is to begin on the central carpark for the £300m investment for Blackpool leisure and tourism. It’s said to transform the former Blackpool Central Carpark to a £300m leisure complex which will house a 200 room hotel, 3 indoor theme attractions, restaurants and out door entertainment space. Work is underway to extend the Blackpool Tram line from Blackpool North Train Station to North and South Shore. Blackpool council have said that there is a multi million pound investment underway to improve travel from Blackpool train station, which will connect the tram way to North and South shore from Blackpool North, making it even easier for visitors to get to their destination.
