You Don’t Need to Be a Guru!

Remember, you only need to be one step ahead in order to help someone! I used to think I needed to have a PHD in marketing in order to be an expert, or to help anyone with their internet marketing. I was used to seeing all those self-claiming “guru’s” who seemed to have endless knowledge, about everything. I recently was reminded of a time when I held a small training where I was attempting to teach folks about how to go about using mobile marketing to get more customers in their small business. As it turned out, most of the people in the audience did not even know how to create and send a te ..read more

When You Lose, Don’t Lose the Lesson!

When things don’t go your way or the way you expected, it is important to examine what shifted. Maybe you did not allow enough time to see results, or maybe you were too aggressive and impatient. We often have this “microwave” mentality, where we want instant gratification for our efforts. Often times though, the slow, methodic turtle “wins the race”. The Dalai Lama once said,  “When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.” You can review your steps, or just try another route, adjust your sails, and move on. It often helps to share your experience with others, and you might just find great ..read more

Got Writer’s Block?
Your Biz Promoter

So lately I’ve felt that I hit a brick wall, a writer’s block. Since I hit a blank page, I thought I would take to my laptop and write about it! LOL I asked one of my mentors about this, since I am trying to give value on a consistent basis, which means creating content posts on my blog or social media. I was wondering how some people are so prolific and I was still struggling. His answer was, not to think about it too hard! He suggested that our brains work like a search engine, and when we think too hard about coming up with a topic, it will never come to you! He explained it this way: He re ..read more

It’s Not Too Late to Get Started!

While I was on my way to shopping for groceries I got a text message from my sister. She was summoned to her friend’s home who asked her to please come over, she found her husband on the floor, non responsive. He was already gone. He was 2 weeks away from retiring, was in perfect health and was excited as he and his wife were so looking forward to it. This makes me want to hug my loved ones tighter, and hold on to every minute of every day, not take anything for granted. I want to hold my husband close, and appreciate him every day. I want to go out and pamper myself, go to a spa, get a massag ..read more

Authenticity is Key!

Authenticity is key, let me explain. As a school aged kid, did you ever experience someone who always acted like they know it all, when really they didn’t have a clue? Or the bully who was really inside just a wimp and an insecure person but acted out against others, pushing them around? How about those pics of Lambos with a hot sexy looking man or woman who is tanned and fit as a fiddle?Or the real estate pics of mansions with the Lambo parked in front? Perception becomes reality for the reader. Do you think if they were so successful they would need so desperately to “prove “ to you that the ..read more

Which One Are You?

Some people get bored too soon and give up just before they accomplish success. Some folks start to get working on tasks, but lose patience, and get distracted and start to try something else to get faster results. Don’t jump ship!! Be consistent, do more of the same things that are working, be repetitive, and you will get better at it! As things become easier, don’t run the risk of assuming you can leave things on auto-pilot. Do not drift from what’s working. At this point you will see your audience build as you create traffic. Once you master traffic and marketing skills you will be able to ..read more

You Don’t Have to Be Alone!

Don’t ever think going it alone will get you to your goal. You need a team of like-minded folks to share ideas and strategies. There is nothing wrong with asking for support and sharing do’s and don’ts and what works and what does not. You will achieve your dreams much faster while allowing yourself to learn and grow from others, their mistakes and their wins. Also, beware of “get rich quick” schemes. If you have worked for years to save for retirement, you know you did not acquire that nest egg over night. It took years to build. I’m not saying it should take you years to build an online busin ..read more

What I Learned from Skydiving

As I was on a drive to our weekend summer home I was staring out at cornfields..I was remembering the time when my best friend told me a story about her experience in college when she did her first sky dive! Wow, what crazy times, right? When we are in our 20’s we think we are invincible and are willing to try anything! We’re just old enough to try something new, but young enough not to know better! Now you are in this situation where you are probably young enough to try something new, but old enough to know better! I’m kidding…you CAN always learn something new.
